Actually, the right term for it is called Exorcism.

It is the religious or spiritual practice of evicting demons or other spiritual entities from a person, or an area, that is believed to be possessed.

Evicting a demon spirit depends on a few things like:

1. the kind of spirit you'd want deliverance from... and

2. The portal of entry into the body being possessed.

Rituals of exorcism may vary but the process usually involves a spiritual laying-on of hands by an exorcist, taking the demon spirit or what we may refer to as "entity" into his or her own body and then expelling it; to the formal procedure outlined in the Catholic Rituale Romanum (Guiley 89)."

Pay good attention bro,

... because you need to have a fair knowledge of the tedious spiritual journey you are about to embark on.

In order to fully understand the goals of a deliverance/exorcism, it is important that you understand the actual procedure.

Vincentius von Berg's famous exorcism manual, Enchiridium, supplied a list of tests to determine whether the possessing spirit were good or evil. The spirit was said to be wicked if it: (Robbins 182)

Fled at the sign of the cross, holy water, the name of Jesus, etc.

- Said anything against the Catholic Faith or the Holy Spirit.

- Excited the mind of the possessed to pride, vainglory, despair, etc. Or put the maniac energy in override.

- Refused to discuss the possession with a priest.

- Appeared with a loathsome or dejected appearance, or departed leaving a stench, noise, frightfulness, or injury.

- Or approaches mildly, but afterward leaves behind grief, desolation, disturbance of soul and clouds of the mind.

.............

Now we go into different types of spirits and portals of entry/possession

If the exorcist feels confident that the person was truly possessed, the next step is to conduct an exorcism.
Therefore, it becomes crucial that the exorcist determine how the evil spirit entered into the afflicted's body.

There were only two ways in which a person can be possessed: the permission of God for the demon to enter the body or a witch's incantations inducing the demons to take possession.

.....

Before I go on, another important aspect I almost missed is determining if the person is truly possessed following the signs I already mentioned above or following scientific methods.

And the reason is because people who profess a belief in demonic possession, also referred to as 'possessive trance disorder', have sometimes ascribed to possession the symptoms associated with physical or mental illnesses, such as hysteria, Tourette syndrome, epilepsy, schizophrenia, conversion disorder or dissociative identity disorder.'

You and/or the exorcist needs to make absolute sure that the person actually exhibits those signs I mentioned earlier else a general exorcism should be done.

in some cultures, instances of spirit possession are often related to sleep hypnosis or traumatic experiences—suggesting that possession experiences may be caused by mental distress.

Some have expressed concern that belief in demonic possession can limit access to health care for the mentally ill. Studies have found that alleged demonic possessions can be related to trauma.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demonic_possession
.....

For example... here is a story of a similar situation that happened in Vaslui, Romania, 2005.

The Tanacu exorcism was a case in which Maricica Irina Cornici, an allegedly mentally ill nun at the Romanian Orthodox Church monastery of Tanacu in Vaslui County, Romania, was ruled to be killed during an exorcism led by priest Daniel Petre Corogeanu and four Orthodox Christian nuns who were a part of the Order of the Holy Trinity. The case was widely publicized in the Romanian media and following a lengthy trial, the priest was sentenced on appeal to 7 years, one nun to 6 years and the other three nuns to 5 years

.....

Now let me give you a little insight on the procedure:

While no two exorcisms are exactly alike, they tend to unfold in similar stages:

1. The Presence. The exorcist and his assistants become aware of an alien feeling or entity.

2. Pretense. Attempts by the evil spirit to appear and act as the victim, to be seen as one and the same person. The exorcist's first job is to break this Pretense and find out who the demon really is. Naming the demon is the most important first step.

3. Breakpoint. The moment where the demon's Pretense finally collapses, a scene of extreme panic and confusions accompanied by a crescendo of abuse, horrible sights, noises and smells. The demon begins to speak of the possessed victim in the third person instead of as itself.

4. The Voice. Also a sign of the Breakpoint, the Voice is inordinately disturbing and humanly distressing babel. The demon's voices must be silenced for the exorcism to proceed.

5. The Clash. As the Voice dies out, there is a tremendous pressure, both spiritual and physical. The demon has collided with the "will of the Kingdom". The exorcist, locked in battle with the demon, urges the entity to reveal more information about itself as the exorcist's holy will begins to dominate. As mentioned above, there is a direct link between the entity and place, as each spirit wants a place to be. For such spirits, habitation of a living victim is preferable to Hell.

(That is why it's of upmost importance to direct the entity into another medium after it has been evicted. we will go into portals and mediums later on)

6. Expulsion. In a supreme triumph of God's will, the spirit leaves in the name of Jesus, and the victim is reclaimed. All present feel the Presence dissipating, sometimes with receding noises or voices. The victim may remember the ordeal or may have no idea what has happened.

Kindly see the closest Catholic Church for a clean eviction.

I have doubts about the procedures used by White Garment churches as most of them are untrained for perfect exorcism. Else I would've recommended them.

They prefer to subject the possessed person to untold torture in a quest of getting the demon to reveal it's name (and this is only the first stage of the deliverance) And this may be pleasurable to the entity in possession of the person

Or... you can avoid all those and do yourself a favor by booking a psychiatrist appointment with a renowned specialist, bro.

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti I command you foul spirit to reveal your name
