What if the parents have been advising the child but the child was still wayward? Aren't adults allowed to make their choices? Why must the wrong person be held for another man's crime?

In my opinion this is a welcome development. Parents ought to be responsible for their offsprings.this will help curtail the introduction of miscreants into the society. this should also be a national law. I know some parents that are proud of their cultist children and they use that in intimidating others.

Report your continued wayward child... Some children turn a new leaf when the same parents take them to church, they hear the word of God, and the holy spirit transforms them and they come out new, working for God and improving their lives and society

Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Let us shed more light on that verse from our Holy Bible.

This is not a promise to parents who raise their children properly but a warning to those who allow their adolescents to grow up without guidance,
Those parents who raise them to go their own way.
Children left to their own way are not likely to change; they will become adults who go their own way.
The wrong way.

Interestingly, Solomon wrote later in Proverbs 22:15 that “Folly is bound up in the heart of a child.” He obviously recognized that children don’t tend to make the wise choice on their own.
As you lay your bed , be ready to lie in it same way.
We guess this will curb/reduce cultism in our country to a certain degree.

To all cultists reading this, repent now before it is too late.

Yup.

But train your child do he/shvwill give you peace. Why should your child be a menace to society and you will be at peace? No way

But the parents aren't guilty of their children's crimes, and vice versa. If such a law exists, it will be abused and cause untold oppression.

Admittedly, some parents support such crimes because they are touts and local champions themselves, but let every man be accountable for his crime. Otherwise we would've arrested Evans the kidnappers wife and children simply for enjoying his stolen money.

Nigerian legislators are very amusing people.

You’re going to be punishing parents for not raising their kids properly when it is the government that has created a system that enables crime to thrive.

Is it their parents that carried them to the initiation ground?

Is it not the same politicians that indoctrinates & uses them?

Which street kid is not aspiring to have the life Mc Oluomo is living without a certificate?

SECONDED. If parents start to pay heavily for the mischievous attitude of their wards, many (especially young families) will learn to monitor their children from onset.. Imagine parent telling neighbor we don't scorn our kids here oo.

Children of some anointed men of God are into cybercrime, and other related crimes. How come? Some devoted Christian home now have children into internet fraud, how come? Did they not train them well?
You can force a donkey to drink water. A child will become what he wants to be if he want to be. Οτι είναι να γίνει θα γίνει (what will be will surely be).

Point is everyone has a role to play. Growing up, it was strange to see a family man at home after 7:30 AM because they were all gainfully employed. Now it’s not weird at all to see men doing afternoon school runs in joggers and shorts.

They can’t just pass the blame on parents when their consistent mismanagement of public funds over the years has midwifed a countrywide unemployment crisis in the labor market.

Nowadays, kids have had to resort to crime to supplement the breadwinners of their families. In most instances, to get into cybercrime u have to be part of a gang.

The fault is not just primarily on the shoulders of parents, but also on a government that doesn’t realize that their attitude is a major problem.

You can’t put the cart before the horse and complain that you’re only moving backwards.

Some will still be difficult no matter what okay? Do you think all criminals were just left to misbehave from childhood? Many of them were cautioned and reported but still could not adhere. The prayer is to have obedient and understanding children. It's not by your power
