They should give these oil refining entrepreneurs licences to operate modular refineries rather than destroy their investments. In a country were no major refineries are working, why destroy the minor ones?

Just asking though, someone should educate me on the probable dangers of doing this:

Why can't the operators of these illegal refineries be given licenses and then heavily monitored by the government? They still make their money, the government makes its money, and Nigeria wastes less money importing refined products. On the other hand, destroying it like they usually do takes resources- resources spent on the deploying troops to hunt them down and destroy the refineries, and the resources of the refinery owners themselves after the destruction has taken place. It just seems to me that the first option would make more sense. . .

Nigerian soldiers are fools.

Our refineries are not working and you destroy the functional ones because you claim they are illegal.

Isn't it ironical..you ask us to buy Nigerian to grow the Naira when locally refining crude oil is an offense.

What a zoo.

The army keeps polluting our environment with this archaic style of fighting bunkery! For Christ sake why not seize the products and hand them over to DPR or the state government? Why spill the products on the soil? Are they now any different from those that destroy pipelines?

Where is the legal refinery that you are destroying illegal ones
Let's leave the illegal ones alone abeg.
Regulate them or build modular refinery that can meet our needs
The major enemy of our currency is importation of petroleum products
and no one is seeing it or talking about it.
