It may be for pharmaceutical use and secondly the agents may not even be aware of such content in the container; (am not trying to defend anybody ).
Finally our security outfit are useless and incompetent, they lack investigative wisdom, they should have tracked the container to its final destination and arrest the owners and not agents that are doing their work.
Well every field have its own occupational hazard, accidents, problems and other challenges no matter how lucrative/good it may look like.

NDLEA should recruite people like me with the pure wisdom and intelligencia/physically fit on how to nab any criminal elements but they prefer people have connection/money without something upstair.
samwilly my friend, your descriptive acumen gives hope to this country but the corruption embedded in the process of appointment in Nigeria is a backdrop to its development.
Normally, the agent ought to be investigated to ascertain his level of complicity but the bulk of the investigation should be on who owns the goods and how it got to here. I appreciate God for your wisdom.

Please stop disappointing us. Some of us privately hold you in high esteem. Programmers don’t think stupidly. If you just tried a new brand of weed, drop it, it’s not good for you.
Since you decide to go so low well let try to help you. People are being tempted to take shortcut daily with the choking business atmosphere. I am not saying the culprits in the case of drug snuggling are definitely under that category but people are being pushed to the wall. Genuine business people are being strangled economically. Definitely someone doing N32b of cocaine isn't a new comer or struggling business man but a greedy soul and corrupted soul.

Govt has frustrated genuine business process with corruption and indifference. The other day it was cocoa exporters crying about not being able to export. So many folks now take shortcut.

Wrong answer.

Most Nigerians are just criminals!

You know nothing about the drug game. When cut into grams, sometimes diluted, a pure kilo can sell as high as $150,000. You are a rookie
150,000 per kg still doesnt satisfy N32B. Kindly enlighten us some more

So, this investment just go down the drain like that? Someone's hustle and money? Very sad.

Before you mention me, between kidnapping, armed robbery, ritual killing and drug trafficking, which is more legit and lesser evil?

Drug traffickers should be left alone. Some of you don't know the courage and investment that goes into this business.

Whenever they succeed, you people will hail them and pray to be in their shoes but whenever they are bursted, you will be the first person to castigate them on nairaland

You are really Offpoint 100%

Read your comment does it sound sensible What is your educational qualification and how old are you?

NDLEA in the house need to track you and pick you up for serious interogation and I'm very sure you must come from my region where crime is regarded as *hustling* (just go get the money it doesn't matter how syndrome region)

Good day if you wish.

The Amount they quoted is highly inflated, considering the quantity they recovered.
The importers of that stuff didn't do their job well.. somebody didn't give the right money to the right person.
I still believe they will still pick up their goods. It will only cost them much more money.

Stupid. Couldn't they have followed the container to its final destination?
Why arrest the Agents knowing fully well they wouldn't have an idea of the illegal contents thereby allowing the main guys flee.
Naija sha.

The main man would have informed them before hand and billing must have done against it too.

It's either the agent was greedy or there is clear red flag from the country of export . It's always a mafians thing . Some jobs still they go Wella.
Conscientious people are very rare to come by in some Nigeria govt agencies .
It's a good one it was bursted . Drug kills

Perhaps he didn't go through some phoney channels . Hence , it would have sailed through.
If you know , you know

Exactly. No mind them, arresting yahoo boys and leaving yahoo men.

They can never find the true owner of that container now, with that move they made.

Drugs is one of the Major fuel of Banditry and Terrorism because no sane person would kill his/her fellow countrymen/countrywomen in the name of religion when Baba God is the most peaceful and Lovely intelligence.
Biko I just hope and pray this is not initial gragra from Oga Marwa's team... I only wish we also have an expert or experts that can intercept illicit weapons especially those coming within the Niger Corridor due to proximity with Libya and illegal entry within the Benin Corridors and our very open and beautiful coastal lines,as well as mop up those within.

They could have just used the agents to play along after discovering the drugs so they can catch the owners of the cargo. The agents surely know nothing about the contents of the cargo.

You are so ignorant, you think drug dealers just use any agent.

YORUBAS ARE MORE INTO COCAINE BUSINESS THAN IGBOS (AS AN EX) BUT THEY ARE BETTER ORGANISED WITH THEIR MANNER OF DOING THE ILLECIT BUSINESS THAN THE IGBOS. KNOWING FULLY WELL THAT THE RISK OF BEING CAUGHT WHEN ONE SWALLOWS IS HIGH, THEY DO MORE OF PARKING AND MANY TIMES, UP TO 1OO OF THEM OR MORE CAN COME TOGETHER AND SHIP A SINGLE CONSIGNMENT OF HUNDREDS OF KG'S. COCAINE BUSINESS IS BAD AND CAN RUINE ONE'S LIFE WHETHER IGBO OR YORUBA AND ALL SHOULD STAY OFF THIS DANGEROUS BUT HIGHLY LUCRATIVE BUSINESS.

Don’t pat yourselves on the back until you publicly destroy the drugs. It should be televised and people of good repute from all works of life should be witnesses before you destroy powder and claim it is cocaine. We don’t want you enriching yourselves while destroying people by selling the drugs afterwards.
