An elderly woman identified as Oyibo Ogidi, 98 was stabbed to death by unknown assailants in Enugu State. HGS Media Plus reports.

The incident happened in Ovoko, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State.

It was gathered that the deceased was found in her residence at Amafor on Tuesday morning, February 9.

HGS Media Plus learnt that the deceased who was childless went to visit her brother on Friday, February 5 in the neighborhood and that was the last time she was seen.

It was also gathered that the deceased body was discovered after a member of the community perceived a fowl smell coming out from her home.

She was said to have been stabbed in the neck and was cover with clothes. Her phone and other valuables were also stolen.

However, the deceased have been deposited at the Bishop Shanahan Mortuary in Nsukka.
