The Nigerian women under the umbrella of the EVOLVING WOMEN IN POLITICS (EWIP) paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Alayeluwa Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III, The Elegushi of Ikate Land. The purpose of the visit is to formally inform the royal father of the decision of Nigerian woman calling on Bola Ahmed Tinubu to contest for the presidential election come 2023 general election as they are fully ready and willing to throw their weight behind him to see him emerge as the president of Nigeria. The women further explain that in the polity of Nigeria so far, there is no one better qualified; understand Nigeria’s problem or that have the quality and capacity to make Nigeria the dream country we all want it to be except the man Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The women are making this call based on Tinubu’s mark and achievement in Nigeria’s democracy that is unbeatable.
Furthermore, the women declared that if Tinubu refuses to contest for the presidential election in 2023, he would have to go on exiles because they cannot afford to have someone like him in this country, and Nigeria will continue to be in shambles in the hands of the visionless and clueless leader.
On his part, the royal father appreciated the women for their giant strides to beckon on the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to contest for the presidential election of 2023. The Oba promise to lay his support to the women in all areas he could.
