Vivo took the Chinese phone market by storm as it surpass other Chinese phones makers like Oppo and Huawei to clinch the top spot in terms of strong sales performance. Counterpoint Research attributed the strong sales performance to Vivo Y30 and Y31 as well as the recently launched of Vivo S9 (5G) and S9e (5G) as the key contributors to the rise of Vivo occupying the number one spot in their latest Weekly Smartphone Market Share report.

The report covers week 11 of 2021 and awards Vivo a 24% market share while Oppo comes in at a close second place with 21% market share. Huawei that once dominates the market share fell to 15% to occupy the third place.
