A couple of months ago, the diagnosis came: A shockwave of fear and confusion ran through my spine.

“Isn’t this what we see in the movies?” “Isn’t this what we read on Twitter and just keep scrolling?” “Isn’t this what we see on Facebook and shrug it off as another proof that we live in a cold cold world?” But now it was happening to me. Cancer. The six-letter word suddenly seems a little too long to spell.

Now I’m approaching the end of my life. Me, as young and vibrant as I was just few months back. I’m dying. I can somehow feel it. A strange sense of the end beclouds my daily thoughts.

But the doctor says there’s hope. “Hope”. Such a strange word. The doctor says I have a shot at conquering the cancer if I undergo chemotherapy. But first I need to raise about 2million naira. “No money, no treatment,” they keep saying, as though my life meant absolutely nothing. As though my life held no value at all.

I’d given up on life already. I stopped caring if I’d live or die. I stopped worrying. I’ve made peace with God, and all my fears are gone.
My siblings and my friends have prayed and done all they can. They beg me to keep fighting. “We can do this...you can fight this thing,” they keep assuring me.

Because of these people, I want to live again. I want to fight this cancer. I want another shot at living again and at least showing them that their efforts have not been wasted.

Although it would take a whole lot of sacrifice and perseverance, with your help, this “snail” too will reach the ark! With your help I hope to fight this cancer and defeat it. I need your help. Please, I need you!

Chaii. Too bad. How u wish I have, I sincerely would have footed the full hospital bill. I have done it before for people, by God's grace I will rise to do more again in Jesus name, Amen.

Very heartbreaking...this is when politicians need to act up but no...they will steal the BILLIONS to buy houses/properties all over the world.. heartless insatiable kinds.
I really feel for him but I can only do my little best
