I have noticed a worrisome trend of people being too sensitive (some may call it political correctness). It is not just within Nigeria, but across the globe. You can see this from people's reaction to topics on religion, politics, sports, sexuality etc. I don't know if its because the world is changing so fast and correcting the wrongs of the past.
