I just got this email from GTbank, saying `In view of the recent Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) directive that all Nigerian Bank account numbers be changed to a new standard format by May 2011, kindly find below, your new Nigerian Uniform Bank Account Number(s) (NUBAN): ACCOUNT NAME:xxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx OLD ACCOUNT NUMBER NEW ACCOUNT NUMBER (NUBAN) 202-267xxx-1-1-0 00027xxxxxxxx 202-267xxx-2-1-0 00027xxxxxxxx 202-267xxx-46-1-0 00027xxxxxxxxx Please note that you are expected to start using your new NUBAN account number(s) for all transactions immediately. all Bank now have 10 digits account number, this a directive from CBN, i got the same message too. |

I got same too, tot some touts were trying to game me. why wasn't it on local newspapers & their website?? |

I will be going to their bank today, so i believe at end of the day i will get the full gist. although i received sms alert from Skye Bank about CBN directive for uniform A/C numbering, that my A/C no has been changed to a 10 digit no. GTB should do the same. |
