Fresh reports have it that the government of Lagos state has recently introduced a new Traffic Management Solution (TMS) to help solve the recurring gridlock situation across the state. This new “solution” was reportedly introduced by the state government on Wednesday 7th of July 2021. The TMS system is said to be designed for the proper management of traffic violation cases as well as solving gridlock issues.

According to Mr Frederick Oladeinde, this newly introduced TMS device will be handled by the LASTMA and VIS agencies to carry out their regular operations in a “renewed” manner. He explained that the handheld device will actually be linked to a central control room where each device’s activity will be captured and monitored in real-time.

Mr Oladeinde even went further to assure Lagos motorists that the new device will now bring “transparency” to the operations of traffic management agencies across the state. He says the transparency will be made possible by the fact that the new TMS will always capture photo and video evidence for every traffic violation case.
