i think dats a good news for me cos the number of applicants is kind of little but can u just guess or frm last year the maximum they can admit for my course only,

they admited for my course which is geography in social sciences.

any ideal for me or i should forget going to school this year, after calculate my score, i got 44.2 and i choose sociology in u i, pls any hope for me or i should forget about it, my utme is 222.

guyz help me out. My waited pt. is 59 while last yr merit cuttoff 4 comput. Sci. was 66 and locality cutoff was 57. I am now thinkin of changin my course because more dan 5000 chose computer sci. Sum1 told me 2 wait 4 d 1st interactive session, then i can change my course if not invited. What do u tink and when is deadline 4 changin of course.

pls i choose computer sci as my course in ui, i scored 217 in my jamb and im still waiting for my result to come out. i wrote this years neco.hope it will not affect my admission , plssssss

Unconfirmed and rumours in ui states that ui will be conducting computer based test postume  ,after which each dept will set cut off marks and later shortlist sucessful candidates for interview.And finally their ssce and ume will be graded 50%-50% respectively  instead of the original 60- 40 used last year.

So if ssce and utme are graded 50-50, where does the computer based utme now come in?

I wouldn't want to believe any rumor in UI until it is officially released.
Rumor is inherent in UI, did u hear of the two lions that was rumored to have escaped from UI zoological garden over last weekend? which an interview with the director of the zoological garden debunked. This was also confirmed by the zoo attendants that it was just a mere rumor.

Were u in UI last session when it was also rumored that a queen Idia hall resident and a veterinary medical student was raped to death alone tech road.

But all effort to confirm that claim last session prove abortive as JAJA( the university health center) did not have any record of such girl, the residents of queen Idia hall and their hall warden(Dr Ola Davis) did not discover anybody missing in their mist and her hall respectively and 200level class(then 100 level) of vet. medicine did not find any body missing as well.
it was then confirmed that it was just a rumor.

Rumor  as always be in UI and it will continue to, so i believe only what is officially released and signed by the registrar

Telz@Yu know ui is always sincere with adm process but yu know most people are nt satisfied with this ssce principle their using because it favours mostly those that do runs .Now it as been cofirmed that ui will be righting cbt postume(UI cbt postume is likely to commence mid august for both 1st and second choice that scored 200 in ume).cbt exam is to screen out numerous number of applicant and to prove the 5 A's yu are bringing.According to jamb Over 80,000 choose ui as it 1st and 2nd (indirectly we are writing another ume).This info am giving, hv confirmed frm people but yu can still confirm also because the senate of ui has the right decide whatever adm screening process they want to use. pls the only constant thing in life is change.so let wait till next week for the official press release frm ui.

INFORMATION ON Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife 2011 POST UME SCREENING EXERCISE

This is to inform all UME candidates who scored 200 and above in the 2010/2011 University Matriculation Examination and made Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their first and/or second choice to note that there shall be a POST-UME screening exercise on Saturday, AUGUST 13, 2011. Candidates are expected to be seated latest by 11 am.

FORMS ARE AVAILABLE ON-LINE ONLY
Candidates should register on-line by accessing the university website (www.oauife.edu.ng or http:\\eportal.oauife.edu.ng), to fill and submit the application form. After submitting the completed application form, two (2) copies, which will automatically contain the candidate?s digital photograph from JAMB, as well as the exact screening venue, should be printed and brought to the screening venue. One of these two original copies will be submitted on the day of the screening exercise together with a copy of the candidate?s UME score print-out, and the other copy at the screening centre on admission and resumption of studentship at Obafemi Awolowo University.

The scratch card will be used by only one candidate for registration.

It has always been the tradition of oau ile-ife every year, not to distribute their post ume scratch cards for sale, to banks outside ile- ife for oau post ume candidates outside ile ife osun state. Every year oau post ume candidates outside ile ife osun state usually find it difficult to buy oau post ume scratch cards and later resulting to traveling from long distance to ile-ife just to buy oau post ume scratch cards.

Save urself the rigours of going to the banks outside ile-ife osun state to buy oau post ume scratch cards only to find out that oau post ume scratch cards are not sold outside ile - ife banks, or traveling from long distance to ile-ife just to buy oau post ume scratch cards.
