A reputable organization is seeking for a data entry/procurement officer who would be responsible for transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners and also Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.

Job Description

* Type in data provided directly from customers

* Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes

* Verify data by comparing it to source documents

* Update existing data

* Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested

* Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation

* Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

* Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.

* Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.

* Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.

* Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.

* Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.

* Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.

* Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.

* Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.

Qualification
* OND/HND in Procurement or other related discipline

* Degree in Accounting, business management or a similar field preferred is an added advantage.

* 2years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills.

* Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.

* Supervisory and management experience.

* Attention to detail.

Salary: N60,000 - N70,000
