A reputable organization in Victoria Island Lagos is recruiting for a Data entry/Procurement officer who would be responsible for entering of data from various sources into the company system for processing and management and also, engage in the purchase of goods from suppliers on the most favorable condition for the company.

Job Description

* Preparing and sorting documents for data entry
* Entering data into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted
* Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
* Creating data backups as part of a contingency plan
* Responding to information requests from authorized members
* Testing new database systems and software updates
* Continually ensure the availability of goods in their product groups
* Build relationships with existing suppliers and find new ones offering the desired product at competitive prices
* Make orders for suppliers; provide information support to other departments
* Compile information and bring it to the attention of management;
* Track whether the order is completed or not
* Determine the types of goods that must be withdrawn from the range or enter into it;
* Ensure that the company always has promotional materials from suppliers
* Control the performance of duties towards suppliers; advise sellers, and sometimes buyers
* Control the movement of goods and the timing of shipment of goods
* Review supplier claims and resolves conflicts; control product quality.

Qualification/Skills
* HND/B.Sc. in Business management or any related discipline
* At least two years of experience in similar role
* An analytical, practical mindset ; Proficiency in MS Office
* Knowledge of the basics of economics; Understanding of the transport
* Logistics and customs system
* Ability to handle large amounts of information
* Stress tolerance and the ability to quickly make effective decisions
* Knowledge of supplies and contractual terms
* Effective planning and prioritization skills
* Mastering the basics of working in corporate information systems
* Ability to negotiate, possession of practical communication skills.

Salary: N60,000 - N70,000
