The First Ever Tedx Event In Minna (tedxminna) by Sul154(m): 11:23am On Jul 29, 2021
The Maiden edition of TEDxMinna was at the top of previously held events in Minna. TEDxMinna is the most talked about: it was Educative, Inspiring, and Relatable.
The theme "Changing Mindsets" is a fresh perspective. With the challenges that demand immediate solutions in the state, the people need to rise with a positive mindset. It has been able to show the hidden potentials in the state. The event has also been able to break most stereotypes associated with Niger State.

Originally set to hold on March 12th, 2020, but was rescheduled, due to the coronavirus pandemic to September 12th, 2020.
The median edition of the event saw the introduction of a lot of things that have never been experienced in the state.
A link was shared to the public to nominate speakers based on different sectors, after which valid entries were screened and we had speakers from different sectors and locations including the United States and Dubai.

We had tree planting activities where over 50 trees were planted to help clean the environment from the carbon footprints the event would have left such as exhaust fumes, waste, litter, etc. As part of conserving the environment, we minimized the use of paper at the event by using QR code-enabled tickets, digital programmes of events, and lots more. The future event will feature the introduction of our mobile app for better interaction and conservation.
The event was not just about the talks it was a thrilling event with experiences never before enjoyed by the audience. We had performances by a host of musicians, leopard displays, drumming, poetry, and spoken words. We didn't settle for the ordinary, we went the extra mile to make TEDxMinna a memory.
The event had over 200 physical attendants (college students, undergraduates, directors, CEOs, employees), and it was streamed live which had over 600 virtual attendees from all walks of life and school; this made the event more exciting as you don’t need to be in Minna to be part of the event.
To be frank, it would have been just an ordinary event if we didn't get support from companies like Daily Newspaper, Bilad Reality, family, Raise Foundation, Kere Ahmed Foundation, Mainstream Foundation, friends, volunteers, and well-wishers.
TEDxMinna is now set to be an annual event for brilliant minds to network, discover emerging trends, and the latest innovation across various sectors.

This is a beautiful development coming from Niger State, considering all we hear this days is bandits and kidnapping in the state.
