The University of Ibadan, UI, has been ranked as the number one university in Nigeria.

The ranking was done by Webometrics, which is the largest academic ranking of Higher Education Institution.

Its judgment is based on the assessment of Composite Indicators and Web Impact Factors.

Also, Covenant University, and Obafemi Awolowo University are ranked second and third respectively by Webometrics in its latest rating.

The University of Nigeria, UNN, located in Enugu State, and the University of Lagos (UNILAG) are fourth and and fifth in Nigeria in the recently released ranking.
