Hello house pls anyone staying in borehamwood here.

How easy and cheap is it to get to Archway.

I am thinking if I can get accomodation in borehamwood and my work is at Whittington hospital in North London which is few meters from Archway....

Or where can I get a fair accommodation for me and my wife around this axis....

Pls London people help your guy o....

If you want to save money avoid going through zone 1. From Borehamwood station take the rail to west Hampstead and change to the overground. Then get off at Gospel Oak station. You can either walk or take the bus it’s only a couple of stops and it will drop you right outside the hospital.

You simply allow the 1 Year anniversary of your LISA account to fall into the following tax year, remember tax year is 6th April - 5th April of the following year, you then deposit the maximum £4k in each of the the tax year.

For example if I'm to open one today 8/01/22, my 1 Year anniversary will be 8/01/23. I will deposit the max £4k before 5th April 2022 covering the current tax year and deposit another £4k in the new tax year starting 6th April 2022 but before the anniversary of my account which is 8/01/23. You both do this, and you will get the £4k I referenced in my earlier post.

Thanks so much

Good day and compliments of the season to everyone here.
Wifey, myself and our 1year old daughter will be going to the UK by month end latest by his grace. She'll be schooling in central London and I'm having difficulty in making decisions on where to stay. I heard London is really expensive and it's advisable to commute from nearby towns.

After many considerations and research, Luton fit within my budget for 2bedroom flat, budget is 850£ at max. Now there's so many negative reviews about Luton and I'm not sure I want to go there. Please, I need advise on commuter's town where I can get 2bedrom flat for 850£ and below...thanks.

Meanwhile, we fit manage 1bedroom flat for now and that will also save us some costs.

Good Evening Gurus and all other lovely people here. I really appreciate the quality of information shared in this section. A big thanks to everyone. I finally landed in the UK (Manchester) with my wife. We are staying temporarily with a distant cousin for the next one month (paying oooo). Please I want to ask if I can work with my old National Insurance number...... I left the UK about 11years ago (was here for 4years b4 relocating to Nigeria). Gurus in the house, I need your opinions, suggestions and advice, please. I have collected my BRP and no NI is behind it. Am on a dependant visa, my wife is a student(student visa).

Best Regards.

I don’t think you will get a one bed flat for £850 in Central London or London as a whole. Maybe in Luton but Luton is on the list of one of the worst places to live in the UK. I don’t know much about Luton but I noticed that when there are loads of immigrants in a place they tend to make that list . Which means that the compilation might be put together by a fascist or racist person. I might be wrong but that seems to be the trend . There are loads of Asians in Luton, Bradford, Birmingham etc and these places make the the worst list every time.

I checked Kent and Hertfordshire but there's no much different from London houses. I really need advise because I don't know want them to be stranded when we get there nor stay too long at the hotel. I get one egbon for London but Kush dey that egbon head lol, so we can't stay with him.

Bolton, Oldham and Leicester are definitely Asian.
Boston is virtually eastern Europe.
I wonder why Leeds, Plymouth and Southampton are on that list..
As for Barking, I would have thought it would be higher, lol.
and I didn't see Birmingham - by reputation alone, it should be there.
Along with Newport in Wales.

No Scottish location on the list, I see.

It looks like the list is for England. Birmingham or Wolverhampton didn’t make the top 50 this year. I’m sure they were on the previous years list.

The truth is most of the people that compile these list, don’t live in the real world. I will take it with a pinch of salt. Hackney, Brixton and Highbury and Inslington used to be on this list, until the towns were gentrified and ethnic cleansed and it’s now out of the reach of the common man. The same was done with Stratford.
What people don’t understand is that there is ethnic cleansing going on in London. The only affordable boroughs in London at the moment is Barking and Dagenham and maybe Croydon. Soon only the rich will be able to buy a place in London.

What part of London are we talking about here?

I see my beautiful Torquay and Paignton. They must be joking. Beautiful seaside towns. Everybody comes down during summer, including the addicts who stay on after that.

I would take them off this list. I m going to leave Plymouth on there though. With its white rowhouses. *gag*

No offence meant but "ethnic cleansing " is a specialist term implying genocide. I think the word you want is probably gentrification which you have also used.

Central London is massive. If you narrow it down and list the nearest train or tube stations it will help. But you can look towards zone 5 and 6 in London or Dartford in Kent, there are regulat direct trains to London Bridge, Charing Cross, Canon Street and Victoria

Many of these towns listed as worse in the country usually have 'safe' areas or just historically bad reputations. Many people commute to Peterborough to London, it has also undergone massive regeneration

Ethnic cleansing and gentrification are two different things. Although gentrification leads to ethnic cleansing in a way.

Genocide is a strong word to confuse with ethnic cleansing. There are many types of ethnic cleansing. Genocide is on the extreme. Ethnic cleansing doesn’t always mean death of the individuals concerned.

"Reverse white flight" is the term you're looking for.
Oyibo coming back to the places they left for Asians.

There’s always a subtle way to state the obvious. Peckham is also an example. grin grin grin

Lol.
Well, considering that so-called white Brits are less than half of London's population, the gentrification is not solely oyibo-driven.
i.e. ability to pay London's crazy house prices is not race-specific.

True, more social cleansing

If you can afford it...white,black,brown!

Look at all the Hong-Kong citizens buying up all these new builds as they relocate to the UK

What’s another word for pushing out the working class out of a particular area. Especially when majority of the individuals are immigrants?Hammersmith and Fulham council was publicly accused of this and the word used was “ethnic/ social cleansing”.

Although the right word is “social cleansing “ because most of the individuals involved were of ethnic origins the word “ethnic cleansing” was adopted.
