Egyptians are not not Arabs, historical evidence shows that there is Arab plains during the Ancient Egyptians time. The descendants of Ishmael are Ishmaelites that inhabit North Africa and Horn of Africa in the Biblical times. Arabs exist along side with Babylonians, Egyptians , Ethiopians, Sudanese etc. Arabs only conquered the rest of North Africa and Middle East to expand.
