calls by innocent citizens during bandits’ attacks.

Anas, who spoke during a preliminary session of the House, said innocent people were being attacked without the help of the security agents, describing the situation as unfortunate.

To buttress his point, Sarkin Fada said that, just recently, bandits attacked Kyambarawa community in his constituency but despite numerous calls put to security agencies in the area, none of them went to the scene of the incident.

He said, “No security officer responded to the innocent people until when the bandits unleashed their terror, killing notable people and abducted so many from the village”.

He blamed the security agencies in the state for not acting fast when they were called by the people of the community.
The House, therefore, passed a resolution, calling on both Zamfara state and the Federal Government to gear more efforts in curtailing the decade-old precarious insecurity situation in the state.

The resolution of the House followed a motion raised by the House leader, Faruk Dosara, under matters of urgent public importance.
Dosara is from Maradun LGA, where 76 students of Government Day Secondary School Kaya were abducted by bandits on Wednesday.

He commended the efforts of the state for enforcing some emergency rules aimed at curtailing the excesses of bandits and banditry activities in the state and called on the people of the state to show understanding and corporate with the government and security agencies.

He said that the punitive measures adopted by the government was only aimed at ending the insecurity challenges bedeviling the state for over a decade.
