Like some 3to4 month ago, I went to a lab to run hiv and hepatitis B test with my girlfriend , we both tested negative. And ever since then I’ve never had sex with any other person other than her.

I do conduct test like 3 times in a year to ascertain my health status ..
My girlfriend is a student , and she does come every week and we always have unprotected sex using withdrawal method
So just three days ago, I decided that we should go for test again in that same lab, for hiv, hepatitis B and blood group test.. and to my greatest surprise,

She’s negative . But I’m hepatitis B positive..

Pls note that since I started dating her , going to like one year and 3months now, I have never had sex with any other person other than her..

When we did the test 3days ago , we were both negative but the lab asked me to rerun the test personally . I did yesterday and I was diagnosed with hepatitis B.. they ran the test multiple times .
( they told me to come collect the results tomorrow)

I’m 23 years and I live in south south here . I’m financially doing well and I’m not the wayward type . Infact she’s the only girl I would have raw sex with for the past 5 years .. before I met her I did use condom if I was going to have sex .. if i go to barber shop, I always make sure the clipper is well sterilized and I don’t share sharp objects or personal stuff with people ..
I live alone , nobody visits me other than my girlfriend

I actually want to go to another hospitals like 3 to confirm..

Now what do u think might be the cause?

I don’t go out most of the time. I’m mostly in my room. So I’m still very very dumfounded ..



Well I plan to end it if i confirm from the other 3 hospitals that I’m positive .. because reading the effects on google is killing me already ..
I don’t drink , I don’t smoke , infact I barely take beverages self.
And I don’t notice any thing in my body , except back pain and that’s if I take too much sugar.
I eat mostly local foods, mostly prepared by my girl or standard eatery..

I’m already going to tell my girlfriend tomorrow ( she’s in 400 level ) , want her to decide if she go break up or not..

Sorry for the extra expenses you are going to in cure for treatment, but Na man you be and being alive means another day another gbege to solve and take care of.... Give yourself best treatment, no loose guard, and keep living

Herpetitis B is similar to covid 19, so it's not really your fault like HIV or AIDS that you have to fvck around to contract

Simple contact, body fluid exchange, barbers clippers , spoons can get you Herpetitis B especially if you are not vacinated

I don't think hepatitis B is solely contracted through sex since it's transmitted via fluid.
The Lord is your strength, it's not the end of the world and I sincerely hope you have the strength to continue to live.
As for your gf, if she loves you enough and can go on this journey with you then great for you but don't feel bad if she considers not continuing the relationship anymore, there's always someone else out there who'll stick around for long.

I won’t feel bad to be honest cos if I were the one I’ll consider it twice weather to continue the relationship or not..

I’m happy now that it’s not through sex cos I’m 100% faithful . But I can’t live with it honestly ..

Sorry about that, but know that it's no longer a death sentence. I will advise you visit a specialist lab or hospital for a confirmation test. If it's still negative then start treatment immediately.
