True i have someone who has battled flour allergy for almost 20 years. She doesn't eat anything made of flour and she's doing well. When she eats even biscuit her body starts to swell up too. She cant eat wheat, semo or snacks.

The swelling are a first symptoms of kidney failure. He should go for a test. Well, most time many people with diabetes end up with damage kidney since the kidney is having difficulties to filter out waste product from the blood. Early treatment is better. Go for a test. Please get to a hospital and request for kidney specialist (nephrologist). Let them run some test including 24hr urinary protein.

This is what I'm passing through right now. I just open a thread an Hr ago.
I can't pass urine despite drinking much water but my body isn't swelling.

remember that water is also passed out through sweat and stooling, so slightly reduced urine output is nothing to be concerned about. But if the water expelled through all those means combined is less than water intake, and the urine coming out is concentrated, then you should go see your doc ASAP even if your body isn't swelling.

@OP, from ur explanation, I can deduce dat ur brother suffers from EDEMA. Its caused by d blockage of fluids in d body tissues. Meaning some fluids are being trapped from flowing well in body as such body tisdued need to flushed. I'm not a doctor but d only therapy to recommend is WARM WATER therapy. Take mix warm not hot, water 3-5times a day. Original Honey can be mixed wt it. It will flush d blockage.

Guy, my son of 5 years had similar symptoms. We have done a lot of investigations and all prove abortive cos Doctors couldn't phantom a name attached to it. We were only told that my son protein is low that we should feed him more of protein foods. At some point his Penistone and scrotum started swelling. This is one of the signs of renal failure showing symptoms of hypernatremia.The difficulty in breathing is an underlying dysfunction of the osmotic pressure.
He should not have been placed on Lisinopril-an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor.He should have been placed on a diuretic.
The best thing is to see a Nephrologist-They are in General Hospital Gbagada,Isolo and Island.
You need to be fast about it because the difficulty in breathing shows there is water in the bronchioles-a sign of impending death.
