Imo state police command says it has killed a suspected member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB while another, Uchenna Chukwu, 34, a native of Umunakanu in Ehime Mbano LGA of the State was arrested.

CSP Michael Abattam, PPRO of the command in a statement on Friday made available to ABN TV said the arrest of Chukwu, who has been on the wanted list of the police after participating in several terror operations follows a piece of credible information.

He said on the 6th of October, 2021 at about 1630 hours, (4:30pm) the police mobilised and stormed the suspect's shop.

He said, "On sighting the police operatives he raised alarm alerting other members of his gang, picked a cutlass, and rushed at one of the police operatives attempted chopping off his head but was overpowered, disarmed and the cutlass recovered from him."

On how another suspect was killed, the police spokesman said, "While this was on, the already alerted members came in their number and engaged the police operatives in a gun duel but were overwhelmed by the superior firing power of the police and in the process, one of them was neutralized while others escaped with bullet wounds into hiding."

He listed items recovered from the deceased to include one locally made double barrel pistol with two expended cartridges, two live cartridges, and the charms he tied round his waist to fortify himself against police bullet.

He added that the arrested suspect is presently undergoing interrogation and has made a useful statement to the investigating team revealing their hideout and the abode of other members of his gang on the run.

When Islamists detonated a bomb that killed a German in Riyadh in 2002, the Saudis defended the insurgents and claimed the terrorist attack was perpetuated by alcohol marketers.

When Islamists started attacking the Middle East , the locals retorted "Islam is a religion of Peace", in Arabic. They claimed that the fighters are not Muslims but CIA sponsored miscreants to destabilize the Middle East.

When armed jihadists unleashed terror in the North East in the beginning of the last decade, inhabitants of the enclave claimed that it was sponsored by the incumbent Christian administration to wipe them out . Military action against the insurgents was an attack against the North with genocidal motives.

Today we have Igbo-speaking-Fulani DSS officials, wearing regalia of the rising sun and causing havoc in the South Eastern region of this country while clamoring for secession.

The similarity between the four cases is that the locals always cry when the "outsiders" causing havoc in their communities are eliminated by government forces grin

The archives of civil unrest do not lie.

Last month, thousands of Afghans who covertly supported and cheered the Talibans sought ways to leave the country after the takeover of Kabul.

Do you know why they wanted to leave?

When they were shouting "death to America" and burning the flag of stripes and stars, all they wanted was a country where their little girls would wear Burqas while going to school. When the Talibans took over Kabul the citizens realized that their girls won't just be given an order to wear Burqas but may never go to school again and would be forcefully married at the age of 10 without resistance.

In 2010, the locals of the North East loved the rising islamists so much because they genuinely believed that Boko Haram will promote more of Islamic education and less of Western education , drive infidels off their "holy" states and establish the Utopian Sharia government.

Why is Boko Haram despised by the same locals now?

The locals have now realised that even though they pray 5 times a day, wear Burqas and hate Western education, they are vulnerable infidels to be decapitated as long as they are not willing to pick arms and fight a jihad for the advancement of Islam.

The locals believed that this organisation will just kill security agents and not innocent poor tribesmen who only have a different idea of how secession should occur but are termed "saboteurs".

The locals believed that their cherished organisation will drive out Fulani (northern owned) businesses but not impose incessant sit-at-home orders that will reduce productivity of their own business men in the region and prevent their children from writing crucial African regional examinations.

The locals believed that their loved organisation will only kill Politicians like Hope Uzodinma who are "Fulani Slaves" but not a prolific medical practitioner or an orthodox priest who has nothing to do with the Fulanis or politics.

The stories of homegrown terrorism share a theme from the deserts of the Magreb , across the minerals rich land of the Middle East to the hinterlands of sub-saharan Africa.

It is easy to arm a group of rebels. What is hard is ensuring that they do exactly what you want them to do and disarming them when you want.

Looking at this dead body with bullet and cutlass on the body, you would think he is really an ipob member, just believe the Nigerian police at your own peril, this could be an innocent man.

Always hard to disarm rebels, unless military engages them.

Your prayer should go this way:

"If the man killed was an armed IPOB member, may athaboi die like that too but if he was innocent may his killers go unpunished."

To engage a police squard with a locally made pistol and cutlass ...
I've never believed the Nigerian police for one day....
Personally I think they just killed an innocent man
And decorated him with these items on his body....

Very stale joke. Anyone who believes the Nigerian Police, Army or even the Govt at large is very dumb. Those idiots will murder a young innocent Igbo boy, go ahead to place some locals on his corpse then tag him an ''Unknown Gunman.''

Cowards!

This man may not be Ipob as claim by the police.
Meanwhile, when they see a bandits with gun they can't kill him.
So Buhari's shot at sight order is on Ipob while bandit are only paraded and release afterwards.
