and Nigerian military icons, and the book would make an interesting read.
Prof. Jide Osuntokun's name is on the book
cover as well. As a global history and military strategy enthusiast, I've read a lot of autobiographies and biographies of former Nigerian military officers since the 1980s. Gen. Alabi Isama's book was the last that I bought and read.

Nigerian Singer and songwriter, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido reacted after a photo of his late grandfather, Chief Ayoola Adeleke together with a former farmer Union president surfaced online, IgbereTV reports.

Davido re-shared the photo on his Instagram story with the caption;



According to an Instagram post with the photo shared by Asiri Magazine's on Friday 29th October 2021, Davido’s grandfather was reported to be the second Republic senator and labour activist from Ede and during his lifetime he was also the vice-president of the United Laboúr Congress of Nigeria as well as the chairman of Nigeria Red cross, Ede Branch.

That's a classic photograph and piece of history.

Senator Ayoola Adeleke (Davido's paternal grandfather) was a real
Senator in the 2nd Republic. The use of the term "reported" in the post is inappropriate here.

However, the late Nnenna Adeleke was an indigene of Akwete in Abia State NOT from Old Enugu as the OP indicates. I'm also aware from her official obituary publication that she passed on in 2009 when Davido was just 17 years and hadn't gained prominence in the public domain.

She was studying nursing in Enugu when she met and got married to Davido's grandpa who was also a professional nurse in Enugu.
In 1967 the entire Adeleke family had to leave Enugu for Ibadan because Nigerian families who were not from the defunct Old Eastern Region were told to leave by the Ojukwu as a result of the impending Nigerian Civil War.

That changed the course of history for the Adelekes of Ede, Osun State.
