Yar'Adua orders reopening of Ibeto Cement factory – Cement prices to crash & implications on local producer(s)

What is your opinion on the benefits (price crash) & negative impacts on local cement producers (e.g obajana, dangote, wapco) that the recent presidential order to reopen the factory. Any implication in the future stock value of the said company.

Most of our textile companies folded up as a result of flooding of our market with asian (chinese) inferior products. What do you think is the right for the govt to do?

Buhahaha. And while he's at it:
- He should "order" the Nigerian economy to start booming!
- Why hasn't he "ordered" peace to reign in the Niger Delta?

This may do more harm than good, since the local economy which we have been trying to nurture will now fight for dear life against the cheap cement imported from asia. Short term the prices may crash, while long term the economy will suffer. Now what will outsiders think of us, a people with a lot of polcy inconsistency, which will harm their future business.
