I wonder why despite the fanatic interpretation of Christian theology among African Christians, religion has only engendered a culture of poverty, crime, broken infrastructure, and backwardness! A country as pious and religious as Nigeria yet we continue to wallow in the doldrums because harsh economic realities has made people denounce their human existence in attempts at understanding the absurdity of the human condition thus embracing the explanations of religion and the hope it offers as a certification of the faith it’s doctrines loans it’s followers with the promise of a reward in the after life as compensation for their endurance of the human condition!
