The Indus Valley civilization is a Black civilization that dates back to the time of the pyramids 6000 to 7000 B.C.E.. The racist system was tied into the Brahmin religion disguised as Hinduism. In between the wars and the start of Brahminism enters the Black Buddha. The Buddha fought racism and we call the Buddha the Black first revolutionary Hero. Historically he was the first Black person to fight racism.

Battles for supremacy of the Indus Valley took place for over 1000 years by 800 B.C.E. Aryans (White People) had conquered Pakistan and all of Northern India and name it after themselves Aryavarta (Aryan Land). This is when the white started the caste system against the Blacks (Sudras) untouchables. Social reactions emerged in India in the form of religions notably the Jainism and Buddhism. One time period that is important for Buddhist to learn about is the Nanda Dynasty of fourth century B.C. that was of Black origin. A Black King by the name of Madhapadma was credited to stopping Alexander's eastern advance with an Army of 80,000, horses, 200,000 foot soldiers, 800 chariots and 6000 elephants. The center of his dynasty was Magadha in what is not East Indian state of Bihar which was then and now dominated by Black people. #Note that Mahavira Jain's founder was born in Bihar in 599 B.C.E. during the time of Shakyamuni. Shakyamuni not only traveled to Bihar but attained enlightenment there.

The Nadas were succeeded by Mauryan Dynasty which was also of Black origin. The dynasty's founder Chandragupta Maurya stepped in and conquered the Nanda forces when Alexander withdrew. The Mauryas ruled what was at that time the largest empire in the world. Chandragta was succeeded by his son Bindusara around 300 B.C. E.. Bindusara was succeeded by his son , Ashoka one of the great kings in India's long history. It was Buddhism under Black King Ashoka that spread Buddhist teaching through out Asia and as far as Europe.

Shakyamuni Buddha The Warrior Prince



Shakyamuni came from a Black warrior tribe located in what is the southern region of Nepal where the Shaka clan has built a Republic. The Republic had ten Chiefs and the Chiefs chose a leader they called King. Shakya was the name of his tribe and the title "Muni" (meaning sage). Shakyamuni's father's name was Suddhodana and their capital city was called Kapilavastu. Shakyamuni was also know as Prince Siddhartha who exhibited wisdom from infancy, and he was skilled in learning as well as the martial arts. When Shakyamuni left on his path to attain Buddhahood has father dispathed five ascetics to go with Prince Siddhartha. First they trained under two ascetics and this did not lead to enlightenment. Afterwards for the next twelve years he pursued every religious practice imaginable and one day he rebelled from the religious ascetics and sat down, dug inside and attained enlightenment at the age of thirty years old.

The Mauryan Dynasty is a Black dynasty of the so called Sudra caste that ruled over all of the Indian continent unbroken for 150 years. Following the destruction of the Indus Valley by the Aryans (whites) the Nanda and Mauryan Dynasties was the next and final time Black people would have power in India. It was under Black rule that Buddhism was born and it was under Black rule that Buddhism spread under Black King Asoka. Bodhidharma taught monks breathing exercises based on the mystical power of chi and Shaolin Ch'uan fa o r Kung Fu was born in China that later evolved into Karate in Japan and Tae Kwon-do in Korea. In addition to teaching Karate Bodhidharma introduced Zen Buddhism the most well know form of Buddhism in the world. Nichiren Daishonin founder of True Buddhism debated Zen Buddhist.

Understanding Buddhism, The Black Thing And India

The original Indians were dark skinned people who looked African who founded the Indus Valley Civilization. tpia: @ Bastage: you're looking at the whole thing from a modern viewpoint. What's actually being examined is the pre-modern depiction of these statues. The "modern" timeline includes your time frame here, even though you may consider it ancient.

You may also be assuming the blacks being referred to are African blacks. They are not. The original dark skinned Asian population, arent African, or negro. They're a different race more related to Asians, than black negroes.

As much as one would like to claim that the Buddha was an African, it simply isn't true and one can't base an opinion on the website because it's very poorly written, riddled with errors and even tainted by racism.

Buddha was born in Lumbini and raised in the small kingdom or principality of Kapilvastu, both of which are in modern day Nepal.
His father was King Suddhodana, the chief of the Shakya nation (the website has conveniently left the letter "H" out of Shakya), one of several ancient tribes in the growing state of Kosala; Gautama was the family name. His mother, Queen Maha Maya (Māyādevī) and Suddhodana's wife, was a Koliyan princess. One thing that cannot be forgotten is that the ancient Indians were documentors. They kept very good records. There is no record of an African people either ruling over or inhabiting the area where Buddah was born and raised.

The Buddah would not have been white or black, but a mixture of Chinese and Indian.

The website then goes onto to make questionable claims about Africans in Southern India which is totally irrelevant as Buddhism began in Northern India. It also makes what seems to be some racist claims about the whites and Aryanism that have no foundation in fact or anthropology. The theory regarding Aryan invaders being white is in fact propaganda that the British spread when they colonised India. It has no basis in fact and the author of the website is just perpetrating British lies. Quite ironic.

The claim about cornrows is very misleading. The photographs do not show cornrows. They show a Buddhist cap:



The comparison with the Massai man is also misleading. In ancient India, men and women commonly wore ear plugs. Children’s ear lobes were pierced and a small clay cylinder was put in the holes. As the child grew, increasingly large cylinders were put in the lobes until they had stretched enough to accommodate plugs with diameters of up to 6 centimetres. Hundreds of these objects have been found by archaeologists and are displayed in some museums in India. The Buddah would have worn such ear plugs when he was a lay man and would have taken them off when he renounced the world, leaving his ear lobes elongated. Elongated ear-lobes are not the exclusive feature of the Massai.

Whoever made the website has absolutely no concept of the Buddah. One of the most important aspects of Buddhism and it's sacred writings is that the physical form of the Buddah is irrelevant. A follower should never, ever concentrate on the Buddah's physical form. The only way to know him is through the spiritual.
The website also continually states that Buddhism is a religion that started in Africa. This is wrong on two counts. First, Buddhism is not a religion. It is a way of life. No practitioner of Buddhism nor any serious scholar would ever refer to Buddhism as a "religion". Secondly, there is absolutely no evidence that any African religion contained the main concepts of Buddhism. For example, there is no comparison with Nirvhana in any native African religion. Buddhist scripture points to the Buddha being raised as a Hindu, just as all his compatriots were, before he became Enlightened. This is backed up by the fact that there are many aspects of Hinduism contained within Buddhism.
