The same thing Amaechi did to secure Chinese loans for refurbished locomotives and railway.. they shrouded the whole thing in secrecy and were even signing agreement documents written in Chinese language.

If it's true that agents of the Nigerian government signed loan agreement without reading the document thoroughly; then we have serious problems in our hands.

To sign document written in Chinese language is worse than signing without reading.
Anything could be coined in such unknown language and it's not worth signing.

The good news however is that the tale isn't true.
Our government officials won't do that because even after their regime, the incoming government of the future will not keep quiet about it

lagos is not from an unproductive red mud land in south east region.
South west can afford to pay off debts accrued to her. Only south east that is draging igr with boko haram infested north east should be worried.
Besides the infrastructural FG took loans for are servicing the debts through revenues made from it.

Be careful what you say when all the multinationals move away from Lagos and the real big time igbo importers stop using the Lagos ports then we would see how the IGR will come about. November 1993 comes to mind when igbos moved enmasse to the east. It took reassurances from Late Oba Oyekan and the then governor Col Olagunsoye Oyinlola for the igbos to return, then basic items were scarce in Lagos. Marina Idumota and Jankara markets were deserted. CNN did a report on it at that time.

Why does Nigeria need such Chinese funding yet it makes billions from its oil wealth?
Re: Uganda Risks Losing Only International Airport Over Chinese Loan by Infoay: 6:00pm On Nov 26, 2021
Thank God it is only their international airport. With the speed of light at which president Buhari is borrowing, Nigeria itself will be at risk if the loans can't be paid.

He seems to be borrowing what Nigeria cannot pay and the national assembly seems to be accomplices.

Lets hope our international airports are not being used as collateral for all these borrowing, otherwise Nigeria is doomed.

" the Ugandan government waived international immunity in the agreement it signed to secure the loans, exposing Entebbe International Airport to take over without international protection."
Can you imagine undecided
Who does that??!!!

Go check the Chinese loan Nigeria got for the railway, that clause is also there.

Amaechi was even on TV defending the inclusion of the clause and minimizing it’s effect on the Nigerian State.

I hope Buhari is listening because Buhari has also borrowed a lot of money from China and continues to borrow. I always knew that China giving African countries all this loans was to take over African countries and colonize it again. I don't know why the African man has no brain. What a shame.

The African man has brain, and that's why you making this statement. It shows you an African man has brain grin cheesy
I think the problem is how we do come to have fools and cowards that occupying powerful and sensitive spaces of leadership. And you should know that certain powers help in making this a reality; also these dunces at the hem of affairs are also ruthless in their way to power giving them a leverage over good ones.

The problem or the solution is how the populace can be enlightened and emboldened to sweep them off and change them if need be at anytime they want because it is possible and the population to make that happen is available, especially here in Nigeria. No thanks to religion in this. But there are scanty people that will help bell these cats, because as they are trying to do that, the rest vast populace that are expected to form synergy with the "cat bellers" run back or fight against the "cat bellers" about rescuing them.
