What the hell are u on about in the bolded paragraph? We announced this to save our people, yes - our complaint against the UK is also to save the livelihoods of our people in the tourism industry. The UK acted prematurely - there's no evidence this variant is more deadly. Tourists come to SA knowing exactly that covid exists here and back home too, and hence take precautions.
