TRACE TRAFFIC ALERT!!

A fully loaded PMS laden tanker, due to axle problem overturned around 0445hrs today, while making its way inbound Rounder from Oju-Irin, Lafenwa, spilling it's content process and affecting traffic along the axis.

While TRACE, POLICE, FRSC & the FIRE SERVICE are working assiduously to restore normalcy, as transloading is in progress, the general public, particularly the motoring public, domiciled or moving around the axis are urged to remain calm and co-operative by avoiding scooping of fuel, use of handset and cooking gas so as not to spark off a fire.

Moreover, the motoring public going inward Rounder axis from Lafenwa, should use Olomore and Oke-Ata axis respectively as alternative routes, since traffic has been diverted towards that axis presently.

Any inconveniences is hereby regretted please.

It’s common in Nigeria for trucks that are not in good shape to convey fuel and containers

The driver must have seen the signs but as Nigeria culture “ manage it like that for this trip”

I just wonder when we will start doing things right in this country. Ordinary road worthiness certificate, the issuers will not bother to check vehicles before giving you the certificate, I doubt they even know what their duty is. To reduce accidents people working at the road worthiness certificate issuance offices need to start checking vehicles properly and only issue to those whose vehicles are road worthy, let's start from here first. Lots of moving deaths called vehicles out there. May God protect us.

Aside the axle problem associated with the tanker, some roads are not motor worthy an could easily upturn a tanker.

I'm going to Abeokuta tomorrow. So Sad.

So sorry to say but I've seen a video on someone's Status where I saw two people burnt beyond recognition. That's the one I saw. Don't know if many more were affected. Moreover, I recide in Abeokuta.
