Pictures of items purchased in the United Kingdom UK and Nigeria.

While UK promises full refund if customer is dissatisfied with product, Nigeria says 'Goods bought in good condition are not refundable'.

That means if the Nigerian customer is dissatisfied with the product, he/she is OYO (On Your Own).

Good condition is there... For u to pick a product that is in good condition.. There can't be refund of cash nao.. If the product happens to be a bad product then refund can be agreed.

Lol, why would one want to return a purchased bag of rice?

But on a serious note, nigeria has probably poorest customer service available.

Funny thing is they act all good, friendly and super respectable until their hand touch your money.

Historically it was the Job of the Babaloja and Iyaloja to make sure traders either replaced or refunded sub standard Products

A Civil War was once fought among Yorubas which was sparked off by a Shortage in a bowl of Pepper bought at Apomu Market

It was called the Pepper War and it later lead to the Owu War

That was why Babaloja and Iyaloja Positions became so important to Settle all Market disputes before they become a Civil War

All of today's Osun State and the Ijebus of Ogun State fought in that War

The Wars lasted a total of 7 years and resulted in victory for the Ife/Ijebu/Oyo alliance after the total annihilation and destruction of the former Owu Kingdom and the death of its King

You need to understand that Nigerians are not very honest people. Trust Nigerians to abuse the refund process. This is why NIGERIANS are blacklisted in many international platforms. Why do you think PayPal blacklisted Nigeria? Nigerians pay for goods with PayPal and still apply for their money to be returned despite receiving value on what they paid for. There’s “hell” in hello, “good” in goodbye, “lie” in believe, “over” in lover, “end” in friend, “ex” in “next”, “if” in life.

Take note of the word Satisfaction and dissatisfaction

A product can be in good condition but that doesn't mean you will be satisfied

Consumer protection! But on a second look, what do you think the Nigerian consumers will keep doing once given this privilege? More than 30% of goods will always be returned for no reason

This can't work in Nigeria coz of our mentality, too many people want everything for free

Imagine you are the owner of a Supermarket e no go work jare.

You can still return the bag of rice if found to be defective.

I have returned a defective toothpaste in a major Nigerian store and heaven did not fall.

Don’t create unnecessary comparison Oga ade

Customer service issues abound in Naija but goods can be returned if found defective.

Moreover, if one understands the retailer, wholesaler and manufacturers product flow then you will realize that major stores can accept defective products while retailers who don’t have any warranty from the manufacturer may find it difficult to accept goods sold

It's only in that shithole you are forced to part with goods you are not satisfied with.

In Dubai, shoes, clothers... About anything can be replaced or money refunded, as long as you return it in same condition it was bought.

If you fit wear the cloth, wash and iron am back. It will be accepted on refunds.

OP Stop being Mischievous, one is directly from the manufacturer while the other is from a retail store receipt.

Nigeria Manufacturers at this level put the complaint line of their products here in Nigeria too for consumer complaints. If you complain about their product they'll reach out to you, investigate and compensate you accordingly.

Don't spread half truth to trend
