It's supply and demand, Unless drug dealers are forcing people to get high or make purchases. In my book, they are not worse than stores that sell Alcohol or Guns.
Or even Pharmaceutical companies that pump people full of prescription drugs by using all kind of tactics.

I once read about one addict who had the same opinion as you did, until he became a drug addict himself. Took him time to get out of it.

It isn't as easy as 'just saying no'...sometimes, the answer is better mental health services, better government services, better living standards, better working conditions, better education, etc etc...just saying no is a catchy slogan, but it isn't the whole answer.
