I was thinking to buy a laptop, but I am confused about how long it may last.

According to a blog post, it may last how you will use it. If you take care of it, it can easily last 5 to 6 years, but if you don't take care of it. It will last only a few months.

If it was running using an HDD, give it another breath of life by going SSD with a higher RAM...

The things that will kill it quickly, especially your GPU, is dust and poor ventilation. Make sure your pc breathes easy and clean it out occasionally if you are in a dusty place. Use original charger always to avoid stories that touch. Do these, and you can relax, razrs generally have great build quality, so it should last for years.
and I learned, the painful way, never to buy a used Pc with a Discrete GPU. You have no idea how much abuse it has already gone through. if you must buy a gaming pc, buy a new one u can afford razr or not.
