No-nonsense Resume Building: Part 1 by Fatodax(m): 12:31pm On Jan 17, 2022
What does reweighing mean in resume building and what implication does it have on your resume?

Assuming you want to transition from one career path to another, let's say from sales executive to accounting executive, you know emphasis on your experience as a sales executive has to shift because of your new objective.

This means you're writing to the future. You begin by highlighting your experience in budgeting, forecasting, revenue planning, profit projection etc. Most likely, this might not be your primary responsibilities as a field sales representative; however, they might have been ancillary responsibilities that you managed. As such, you need to bring them to the forefront of your resume so that you're able to position yourself for the transition into the future accounting career.
This concept is known as _re-weighing_.
