After collecting seven million Naira (N7m) from four (4) members of the Association of Cottage Industrialists In Ogun State (ACIN), the Director-General, (DG) vanished.

During the visit and meeting with the Executive Committee and some members of the Association of Cottage Industrialists (ACIN), Ogun State Chapter met and discussed various executed and upcoming activities and programs.

The DG, Olusegun Mulemora opined that in order to get the loan requested as soon as possible, the State Chapter should invest ten percent (10%) of the sum applied for which is Seventy Million Naira (N70m), various applicants, in the Microfinance Institution of the Association.

This suggestion was given reasonable thought and the State resolved to raise and make the investment. The sum of N7m was raised through four (4) different members and was credited into the Association account in November 2020 with the comfort and assurance that within two weeks the disbursement will be made.

After several weeks of waiting, we inquired from the DG in January 2021 for an update and it was stories and excuses and this prompted the members to request their investment.

Up till today the DG, Olusegun Mulemora has been avoiding calls and running from pillar to pole because he does not want to collect the letter from the lawyers of the members.

Engr. Marvis Ogba was contacted at a point in 2021. He said he is the President of the Association and claims not to have been informed about the fund received by Olusegun Mulemora but he saw the inflow in the account statement.

It is over one year and neither the Association nor the DG, Olusegun Mulemora has been able to say an exact time to refund the fund with its accrued interest as stated in the Lawyer’s letter to the DG and Association.
