Amid rising tensions over the war in Ukraine, the U.S. military has established a communications hotline with Russian forces to prevent an accidental clash between the two nuclear powers, two U.S. defense officials say. The so-called de-confliction line is intended to ensure that the two countries’ pilots or warships do not mistakenly fire upon one another as they conduct daily missions in eastern Europe.

The military-to-military channel, which will run out of U.S. European Command headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, was set up March 1 after the Russians responded to the Pentagon’s request. Maintaining communications to avoid accidental confrontations between the forces is critical, officials say, so hostilities don’t spiral out of control. “It’s really important that we don’t risk accident or miscalculation,” said a U.S. official, who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

Well, you have a point.

It's good to be careful in this kind of situation, it proves control over power and hence strenght. However, the United State goverment is weak, and it's clear for everyone to see that.

The implication of this gesture from the U.S is that, their enemies are watching and will be ready to call any of their future threat a bluff.

America under the democratic party rulership is weak, they don't understand how to deal with strong opponents, all they know how to do is to manipulate the weak ones.

I think America has failed and it's just a matter of time till she falls.
In recent years, America has pursued foolish things like Transgender right, Gender Identity issues and Gender pronoun establishment, she had forgot that there are spiritual implications for these foolery!

Putin is wrong, there is no justification for murder! However, I think he thinks he's only defending the interest of his people.

Looking at the situation from both sides:
America can't trust a country like Russia because of her military power and her political dispensation. In other words, there shouldn't be so much weapon with a country under a tyrant.

Russia thinks America is trying to infiltrate her and make her less powerful so as to have absolute power and influence over the world.

Both parties are scared of one thing; loosing power!

It's just sad that human lives will be the pawn on their chess board.

And some people are saying Russia is not powerful, they might not have the backing of the rest of the world due to the fact that they have no African colonies or they refused to interact their culture to the rest, but to be honest, they still command the respect of the America.
If any nation has tried what Russia has done so far in Ukraine, you know what it could have resulted into in terms of military action from US.
