America isnt like Nigeria. Everybody on their own. That's how the westerners live. Used to be different in the 80s but things changed because of crime rate.

This is serious. But why was he living alone naw. Could be domestic accident, heart attack or even covid-19, contrary to what some people had ignorantly commented earlier. My former neighbour, a senior customs officer posted to the north died in his apartment of cardiac arrest. He had survived 2 previous episodes but wasn't lucky the 3rd time because there was nobody at home when it happened. By the time his boy could return home, he was already dead.

RIP man

It is common for people who live alone in the US to die at home and no one knows. It is verrry important for others to be in constant contact with such persons. Two examples.... persons I knew ... and didn't make news. Workmates. Lady... a clerk ... lived alone ... not the social type... like always at work ... left work Saturday ... Sunday off ... didn't show up nor call Monday... didn't show up on Tuesday morning... unlike her ... supervisor couldn't get in contact with her ... called the Police to check on her. She was found dead ... stepped in her apartment... closed the door ... heart attack ...dropped right there and died... body already began decomposing. Retired male ... customer ... lived alone ... moved about like a healthy man for his age. Didn't see him for a few weeks ... but asked the "super" ( man in charge of maintaining the building)... said he was called to see about the light fixture in the apartment below the guy .... it had maggots in it. Super called the Police.... heart attack stepping out the bathroom. Super keep saying he should've never gone in with the Police... what he saw is haunting him.
All this to say.... it happens all the time ... we need to keep in touch with loners.
