EU'S SHAME ~ France And Germany Dodged Russia Arms Embargo To Sell Weapons To Putin – That Are Now Being Used To slaughter Ukrainians

FRANCE, GERMANY and ITALY side-stepped an arms embargo to sell weapons to Vladimir Putin that are being used to slaughter Ukrainians.
On a day of shame for the EU, it emerged ten member states sold hundreds of millions of pounds of military kit to Russia between 2015 and 2020

* Paris sent bombs, rockets and explosives, as well as thermal-imaging cameras for 1,000 tanks and infra-red detectors for jets.

* Berlin sold rifles and Rome provided armoured cars.

EU states, including then-member Britain, hit Russia with a weapons embargo in 2014 over the annexation of Crimea.

But a loophole allowed countries and firms to fulfil contracts they had previously signed with Russia.

And a probe by Investigate Europe shows EU27 states issued more than 1,000 licences after the ban.

France went on to flog £130million of military kit to the Kremlin, Germany sold £100million and Italy made £19million.

Britain also sold weapons to Russia after the embargo was imposed, but only £1.7million worth.

Ukraine claimed on Sunday that in the first three days of battle, it killed 4,300 Russian forces, destroyed 27 airplanes, 26 helicopters, 146 tanks, 706 armored vehicles, and more.

As of Saturday, Ukraine’s health minister also claimed that 198 Ukrainians were killed, including three children, by invading Russian forces, and another 1,000 people were wounded.
Unnecessary deaths everywhere.

Peace is all we need in our world.
We truly hope this war ends soon.

On Christmas eve 1979, Russia invaded Afghanistan. The KGB, infiltrated the Afghan presidential palace, poisoned the president and his ministers, and Russia backed a coup to install a new puppet leader, Babrak Karmal. Thus began a brutal, nine-year-long Afghan civil war.

By the time Russia pulled out in 1989, 1 million civilians and about 125,000 Afghan, Soviet and other combatants have lost their lives.

The Russian economy and national prestige was brought to the lowest level and that was part of what began the disintegration of the old USSR.

Why did they invade Afghanistan? To lock in Afghan allegiance. When Afghanistan’s last king was ousted in a coup by his cousin and brother-in-law, Mohammed Daoud Khan in 1973, Khan established a republic and the USSR was okay with it until Khan refused to be a Soviet puppet.

The same playbook is playing out with Ukraine. Russia always want to run the lives of all its neighbors.

I hope you know that the Crimea annexation was a major diplomatic crises between Russia and EU. If they true to their relationships with Ukraine, they wouldn't have done hidden businesses with Russia. So stop hold brief for them

These Western countries are all hypocrites and it's very obvious

There are a lot of lessons to learn by Africa in what is going on in Europe

Look at how Europe are betraying themselves why doing doing a hypocritical eye service

Na them place ban,na Del go for back go sell ammunition to Russia, na still Dem dey cry foul when their ammunition was eventually used

All these noise they are making are because those arms were used on European country

They all thought those arms and ammunition will be used on Africa and Asian countries

I hope Zelensky is reading. US, EU, and NATO don't send. Their personal interest is always greater than anything.

Just as they almost overthrew Maduro and slammed his country, Venezuela, with sanctions a few years ago before recently turning around to become his "friend" so he can send oil to them, they will do the same to Putin too.

You all shouldn't be surprised when you see NATO shaking hands with Putin in a few months. But Ukraine would remain destroyed.

It's always visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that the west are making money off their unsuspecting, gullible and clueless counterparts (Africans especially)

They will sell ammunitions for countries to destroy each other and continue to fuel the ember of discords among neighbors. Employ the media to report false narratives in order to turn their glitteries and golds to ashes.

In the end, the destroyed countries will still need their support through (loans, vulture funds and stringent directives) to rebuild hence their dominance over the third world nations and others opposed to their idea.

The West are the real afflictions that should never be allowed to rise or be avoided like plague. They mean nothing for Africa but carnage and perpetual poverty.
