A nation’s military is a crucial asset. The military enforces domestic and foreign policies and protects its citizens. National security is regarded as a government duty, including the security of citizens, the economy, and the country’s institutions. National security is crucial and requires large budgets to build and maintain. These expenses are typically referred to as military spending and/or defense spending . In 2020, the total world military expenditure was about $1.981 trillion. Military size varies significantly by country, typically correlating with each country’s size and military needs. China , India , and the United States , unsurprisingly, have the largest militaries. A majority of the world’s nations have militaries, and only 36 nations do not have a military . Many nations have mandatory military service . The United States has the highest military spending of any nation. Its military spending includes all of the Department of Defense’s regular activities, war spending, the nuclear weapon program, international military assistance, and other Pentagon-related spending. In 2020, the U.S. spent $778 billion on military spending, more than the next nine top-spending countries combined. Top 10 Countries with the Highest Military Expenditures (2020): 1. The United States — $778 billion 2. China — $252 billion [estimated] 3. India — $72.9 billion 4. Russia — $61.7 billion 5. United Kingdom — $59.2 billion 6. Saudi Arabia — $57.5 billion [estimated] 7. Germany — $52.8 billion 8. France — $52.7 billion 9. Japan — $49.1 billion 10. South Korea — $45.7 billion As mentioned previously, the United States spends more on its military than any other nation. The country’s $778 billion military expenditure is among the expensive government programs, along with Social Security and Medicare. The U.S. has the third-largest military with 1.367 million members on active duty and another 1.037 million in the National Guard and reserves. Following the United States is China, spending $252 billion and India, spending $72.9 billion.

Both the highest spender and the lowest spender are mortals in this same world. If the world is peaceful, it is for all. If the world gets deadlier, it is for all. They have money for war but cannot feed the poor. Imagine if the energy used in inventing and acquiring weapons is channeled towards making peace and towards ending poverty.

That’s what I was telling someone yesterday..
Wars are fought with money at the end of the day ...and the United state has a shit-load of money for their defense budget than any other country.....

But people seem to feel that Russia just shits, piss, and coughs weapons from their toilet.... well, they might be right shaa grin

The only reason US has not invaded Russia is because of the nuclear damage both can cause each other...but that Russia will defeat US...??
baba írò. ....If it comes down to shelling one on one...na Russia go tire las las..

cool

US and their defence budget scams and inflation

A standard issue assualt riffles like AK47 and M16 would go for $300 - $500 on the black market... US Pentagon would budget $3000 for same

An Amoured Personel Carrier with similar capabilities and steel metal thickness would go for over a million USD per vehicle while Proforce in Ogun, or Russian defence contractors would give you something nice for less than $500k

Compare Anti missile defence system Russia S 500 with US Patriot and see the biggest scam and Ripp off from US

US controls the Dollars used in international trade so it's easy for them to manipulate and play with figures

Comrade off the mic, they said USA is weak, and all the money is spent on budgeting NATO, let's not pray for war, else what USA has in its Arsenal no body knows but one thing for sure it's deadly, fearful and we all should never pray for it to be used or unleashed on anyone. undecided
