Faith is like an investment, you can only invest in what you know is true and real. You can only believe in what you know is true and real.

First and foremost, salvation is by faith in christ alone. However, one can only have true faith if one believe what is written in the bible is true and real. What we have most often is that people read into the scriptures what they think, instead of allowing the scripture to stand alone without any interference.

The truth can only be known when scripture is allowed to speak for itself.

Scripture declares Jesus as God who also took on human nature.
Jesus spoke of the father as a person distinct from him not an office or position Jesus took in heaven. Jesus had a living relationship with the father.
Jesus spoke of the holy spirit as a person, the spirit spoke too.

When one understood the scriptures that it is real that all what Jesus said is true, one would believe in the Trinity. People who don't believe the Trinity do not really yet understand the scripture that it is real and true, and cannot have real faith in christ.

How do have faith in christ if what he said about the father and the holy spirit you do not accept.

Jesus is the Son of God that is why we could put our faith in him. We cannot put our faith in a mere man or any creature.

We can only have faith in Jesus when we realise that Jesus is not a mere man but God and all he said were absolutely true.
Peter and the apostles remained with Jesus because they saw that only Jesus have the words of eternal life.

The sacrifice of Jesus
The sacrifice of Jesus upholds al of God's characters with absolutely no compromise.

Believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus means we believe in the true God.

Those who don't believe the death and resurrection of Jesus do not believe in the true God, they believe in a lie.

The true God is Holy, righteous, true and just, he also is a God of love, mercy, and faithful.

God is Holy means God cannot tolerate even the tiniest bit of sin, places highest price against sin which is death both physical and spiritual.

The death of Jesus demonstrated God's faithfulness, justice, righteousness, and his love.
God's justice demands the penalty for sin, God didn't contradict himself by sweeping away justice or doing away with it for that is against God's righteous nature.
God's love provided the one to take the justice, Jesus faithfully fulfilled all that was written of him. On the third day God raised Jesus from the dead demonstrating his faithfulness and truth.

Our faith rest on this! God is unwavering, just and yet could demonstrate so much love without contradicting himself. Such a God is worthy of trust and since he faithfully raised Jesus from the dead then he would also raise us up again at christ coming. If christ died and resurrected from the grave as written in the scriptures then he is definitely coming back because it is written in that same scripture.
