I read all your comments and suggestions…. As far as I know there is no n99i/n99 that Nokia released and there is no such thing as n95i. If you want to know if your Nokia phone is original u can go to your nearest Nokia cares(Nokia service center) and ask them to check if it is original, or before buying a Nokia phones, u get first the code of the phone then show it to Nokia Care Center. All Nokia phone is bar coded, they will just check the codes in your phone and they will monitor if it is original or not. Other option is, u can go to www.nokia.com or www.gsmarena.com , all original phones are there.

Another thing is, not all made in china phones are fake. Actually there are original Nokia phones made in china. You just need to be curious in buying a phone.

That 95i Nokia sells for LE1200(about N27,000) in egypt, if you have eyes you'll know it's a fake. I don't advice buying china stuffs like that because it may not last long. We all know how china's MP3 players of 1Gb load only 10 songs grin

Re: Fake Nokia N95i & Nokia N99i by sugrbelvis: 2:14pm On May 12, 2008
i bought n99i for 6k php, OMG it sucks!!!!!!!!! i was curious about this fone because almost all of my parents employee are having Nseries fone so i sold my old fone and bought me a new one (N99i). OMG it sucks i even keep asking the clerk for discount normally it would cost 7000 pesos but i got it for 6000 pesos at first i was happy coz i got it at a cheaper price than them. to tell you the truth i kinda like my old fone, at least it was original not fake. im kinda gadget geek so as mush as possible i maximize the features and performance of my stuff but this n99i will get you no where believe me. to be fair and no to be somewhat confessing that i'm stupid or an idiot ill put some pros and cons.

Pros and Cons
1. if your in a bar or cafe at least you have an Nseries.
*Nokia company dont have N99i. (well that sucks for me but N95 yes)

2. if your disco club alone sitting or doing nothing at leats you can show off your fone pretend to be texting or talking to someone else. at least you can show off your fone that you got touchscreen fone. By the way i can say it got good a physical appearance.
*What if a hot chick requesting to borrow your fone for a specific reason. (poof caugth you! you faker) (Ei this is true and common right)

3. If you got robbed, atleast you you didnt spend a large amount on that fone
- what if the robber notice it's fake. Giving them another reason punching your delicate pretty face and beating the hell out of you right

4. For me, not for bragging ok, i kinda have some friends and were kinda typical people who gonna go to a coffe shop whith are laptops psp digicam etc just to show off. lipsrsealed ( I bet some other people reading this are like us) (P.S. pls dont think of me as a show off guy, i just go with the flow with my friends weee)
-a friend request to borrow your fone, toinks, i cant take that what a shame, ( i kinda watch over my image)

5. Again if your in a bar or cafe it kinda look like N70, (what a faker)
-that is not an Nseries

that are yet the things i can think off. ( im kinda weird i can just summarize everyhting i said starting from pros and cons that to simplify it, you have a fone its touch screen, works as a fone and it has pretty look as long as people dont know its just cheap imitation of a N series fone poor quality and a toshibo tongue)

Re: Fake Nokia N95i & Nokia N99i by mharjake(m): 5:21pm On May 23, 2008
well if you like to know the original n series just check the serial no at the back of your phone and dail *#06# if the no are the same you can tell that your phone are original. however be advice to check all the programs of the phone. ( note ) n95 the fake one the front cam are not working, !

Wow! I wonder why guys are requesting for advice on how to identify an original phone. As for me,i dont need 2 enter any code or make any phone call before i identify an original phone.just mere looking at it alone will tell if a phone is original or counterfeit. Lol its impossible for me to buy a fake phone, what are my eyes for then??

Re: Fake Nokia N95i & Nokia N99i by wahehe: 3:47pm On Jul 29, 2008
, i bought this N99i and i am still enjoying its features, its almost  one month since i bought it, and there is still no error yet that i can observe,  actually i don't care about the brand, only the features,  but since Nokia phones are fast depreciating its price compare to other brand, i think its a good try to have a cheaper phone, and enjoying it while others still don't have,  smiley anyway that's my point of view, and i respect also yours,  smiley
Re: Fake Nokia N95i & Nokia N99i by wahehe: 6:50am On Jul 30, 2008
we'll i guess my n99i is somewhat different to what your pictures of n99i you have shown here in this forum, mine is 5 megapixel and the structure of your camera is somewhat different there,
Re: Fake Nokia N95i & Nokia N99i by kitb17: 1:45pm On Jul 31, 2008
Hi Hayesha,

I first saw N99i in a local phone shop near our university.
I briefly checked its features.
And I think its better than my k770i.

Then I asked the sales lady how much it cost,
Well, it's very cheap! hmmm, Too cheap!

But thats the very reason why i wanted to buy one. I cant afford to buy those expensive phones using my money alone. Im only a student so I can only afford cheaper phones.

Well, actually i dont have any plans on buying a new phone because my dad gave me my k770i, just a month ago. But i dont its features that much. It looks ordinary to me.

hirs how it looks like: (k770i)

<a href="http://s344.photobucket.com/albums/p347/kitb17/k770i/?action=view&current=sek770iphoto1du6.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p347/kitb17/k770i/sek770iphoto1du6.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s344.photobucket.com/albums/p347/kitb17/k770i/?action=view&current=b158112.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p347/kitb17/k770i/b158112.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

While (N99i):

<a href="http://s344.photobucket.com/albums/p347/kitb17/k770i/?action=view&current=2008481738735612.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p347/kitb17/k770i/2008481738735612.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

based on their appearances, it think n99i is cooler, thats why i love it.

But i like the camera of my k770i. (3.2 megapixels) unlike the n99i its only (1.3 megapixels). But im after the tv of n99i and its touchscreen.

Now, after i read your blog. I'm now having second thoughts if im still going to purchase one.

i also searched Nokia's official website but there's no record about it,

Do i still have to buy this n99i? or should i just stick w/ my phone?

Re: Fake Nokia N95i & Nokia N99i by monovirus1: 9:31am On Aug 05, 2008
i bought an N99i but i don't know if its fake. the serial number is starting with 35. when i press *#06#, it displays the info of the phone. i bough it for $175 US (7000 pesos since im in the philippines). i had this phone for 5 months. nothing is wrong with it except for the charger. the phone is not charging anymore because of the same problem occurred when i bought this phone, the sensitive cable of charger that is connected on the phone. as you will see, the usb port that is connected to the phone is very small and sensitive that if you are just pulling this cable after you use it, it will damaged the charger's lifetime. my question is this, can i use a desktop charger* for this kind of battery? (desktop charger* - a charger that is not directly connected to the phone but you have to remove your battery on the phone and connect it to the charger that is plug on the electric outlet.) thanks!!!

I bought a Samsung U700 3 months ago only for it to be stolen. I actuallly do not see the need to buy expensive phones again so I bought the Chinese made K18i and it has cool features, I like the dual sim thingy sha. I do not mind anymore cos they will steal it anyway.
