Yes. I boil mine slightly before putting it in the soup.

It's a waste of precious time and money because periwinkles have the same texture, taste and color of the vegetable. It will mix so you won't feel it

I like eating this with yam.
Sometimes I use Nigerian spinach (amunututu in Yoruba) instead of waterleaf.

You dedicate enough time to meals making like a typical Akwaibom/calarba lady and some Igbo ladies..Quite interesting.

And the use of uncommon method made it unique...Now some ladies will try out bitter leaf and water leaf combo.

I mix pumpkin leaves with water leaf.

Hahahah you are probably overcooking it. Try adding it when the soup is nearly done. Hope that helps
