Why You Should Also Pray For Family Members

It's because if the devil cannot succeed with the individuals, he usually tries the next best thing or a plan b, which is to get their loved ones or someone close to them as their family members.

This is something I've come to learn from experience overtime, hence I stopped praying just for individuals but also their families.

When the evil spirit responsible for the depression and suicidal thoughts of a nairalander was sent packing, he was very bitter and angry about it, he said he would go to her family and mum, but was given a strong warning not to try that.

After witches had severely attacked a neighbor and tried to end her life but couldn't succeed because of God's intervention, they decided to go for her baby who was just a year old at the time and poisoned him but God also delivered the boy from their hands.

There are many ministers whose loved ones have suffered spiritual attacks and even lost their lives in the process, because when the devil tried to get them, he couldn't succeed perhaps because they were too strong for him, so he went after their loved ones who were not as spiritually strong as they were.

That was also what the devil tried to do to Jesus, after he had tried to get Him, but couldn't succeed, as Jesus obviously proved too strong for him, so he tried to go for Peter, one of Jesus' foremost disciples, who He called His family on Earth, hence Jesus having to pray specially for him.

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

So if devil would have succeeded in getting Peter, one of Jesus' foremost disciples who He considered to be His family here on Earth, if He hadn't interceded for him, how much more ours?

That's why believers should endeavor to not just pray for individuals but also their loved ones and family members, so that if devil doesn't succeed with the individuals, he would not be able to succeed with any of their family members also.
