I just called my sister who went for orientation in Maidugaury. No Bomb in the camp, but a threat. The NYSC is giving a mass relocation to corp members to their various states.
Confirmed now.

I served in Borno state as a batch A  corp member 2010/11. While in camp I had my contigency plan (a sum that could atleast fly me to Abuja) and had my ears on ground. I was ready to fly to abuja, then lagos by road incase of any security situation. But even if some of the corp members want to leave there"s alot of issues invovled especially finances. Some corp members actually smuggled their way to camp by gathern whatever they can from the street. So i really dont blame them cos without the ucking discharge cert. the time spent in skool would have been wasted so to say. I pray that God would keep and protect them while something is been done by the governors.



Ppl are still leaving Maiduguri as we speak.

May God expose all the BIG MEN in our society who may be sponsoring this unrest before it gets really out of complete FGN control.

andyanders,   what you said is true, but there is a situation you cannot help. my sister was in that situation and we prayed for her to go, because missing it, the school may not mobilize her in even 2 subsequent barges. The reason may noe be cogent anyway but we just hoped on God.

I pray for them too and your loved one. But this country is not getting things right. How can a government see death and allow the less priviledged children to be sent so that they now can come and give them N5million nonsense when killed? Can that buy life? Can 1 billion buy life? My children, I am grooming them to be creative and to work for themselves and not for Nigeria. When they are through, they start their own job because Government never gave me a dime. This news is rather unfortunate, for the parents who have lost their children to violence in the North and for Nigeria as a country.  I urge that we do not criticizes these kids who went to Miaduguri to server, Whether we accept it or not it is the law and they were serving their country, and it wasn't an option, The government of their country simply failed to protect them, despite the fact that only so recently Youth Corpers were killed in Bauchi because on an election.  

It is time the Government of Nigeria and you the citizens of Nigeria stop sitting blindly behind the misconception that Boko Haram is a group of armed thugs running amok in the Northern states and begin to accept the reality that the war on terror has finally reached the shores of Nigeria in its own way.  These men, whoever they are have acquired the skill to build IDEs (Improvised Explosive Devices) a talent common with terrorists, and have decided to use this skill to wage a senseless war, hiding behind some ridiculous cause centered around the evils of western education.  They prefer a backward and undeveloped Nigeria one that they can associate with because they are equally backward and foolish, so foolish they don't even see that the cause which they so profess is equally as borrowed as the western education they hate.  Nothing good ever comes out of terrorist and a country that is sick with terrorism is even worse.  The Niger Delta militants even had a cause, but these Boko Haram have non.

The war against terror in everyone fight, it is the right to be free and not to live in fear.  Terror must be met with Terror and not dialogue or any form of amnesty.  These men, !!!! no they are not men, they are animals, and people do not negotiate with animals.

I am Italian and terrorist can never be allowed to act as boldly as these men have.   The Nigerian government should stop pretending like they can handle the situation, THEY CAN'T.  Even the most developed countries like the US have not be able to completely win the war against terror, so GEJ and all his people should shut up and act more.  Take the war to Boko Haram, if they have to lock down the Maiduguri and all the states harboring Boko Haram terrorists and declare Marshal law in those states, then they should bloody hell do it. At least it will send a message to those supporting Boko Haram that there is no place for them in Nigeria.  Nigeria should not be afraid to seek the help of experts that have fought this war and are still fighting this war, If Boko Haram is allowed to fester in the North then they will spread over Nigeria.  

The power is in the hands of everyone, it is time that Nigerian said NO!!!! It is enough.

i really don't understand why this NYSC thing has not been scrapped.
even before this boko haram thing,i have been an advocate of the scrapping of this program.it does not benefit anyone.policy makers in Abuja should come up with more productive ways of community service post graduation.
all those saying the corpers had no option as they have to serve before getting jobs should remember that you need to be alife to take the job.

The federal government should better get ready snipers from the nothern side to start on this boko haram, there should be snipers, who are ready to take care of any rowdiness, because this their act is just insane.
