The popular official thread to Satellite TV Part 1 - 5 continues here as a General thread.  I am sure most of all areas of FTA are already existing as thread on this child board.  Do make efforts to use the search button to find out whether what you want to post or enquire about is already in the child board.

You are welcome

@All,
The moderator has done us proud by being magnanimous enough to open this new "Part 6 sort of"thread of the FTA.

1.We are pleased implored not to use this space to curse,mudsling or do whatever you might call what happened in the last season.WE need to be focused now. . .issues of card-sharing,D**gl* or Clines should be restricted to the backyard(off forum).

2.This time around let us try to see how we can nail fringe birds with the latest technologies available within our reach.
let us discover birds that are near yet so far away and bring them down

3.Let us see if we the members of this forum can create our own FTA transmission station so that we can beam NTA,CHANNELS,MITV AND OTHERS to fellow Nigerians since Nigerians with means have decided to put the stations beyond our reach(You all know what i mean).

4.Finally My Fellow FTA N/Landers,Peace is just the thing. . .put your questions across in a gentleman's manner and you are sure of getting a prompt response.

thank you.

@Don401
This question about 4 way diseqc switches (when u have more than 4 dishes) was tackled in detail at RDI forum. I know of the combination with a 22khz switch but was more interested in the combination of 3 diseqc switches minus a 22khz switch. I am 101% sure Kungu is in the best position to answer this. I remember to have found this info there but i didnt take it seriously until time came for me to execute it. I searched the RDI for this info and I failed and I gave up. I hope Kungu will come to our rescue grin grin

Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by sammu(m): 6:32pm On Jul 13, 2011
@ don401
2 methods that i know:
1. Get an 8-way diseqc switch, if u are in lagos it is available at alaba sat mkt. About 1k
2. Another method is to use 22khz switch to combine 2 4-way diseqc switches together. But this is not readily available.
Another option will be to motorise 1 metre dish to take care of all ku sats.

@ freshp, thanks for your piece of advice.
@all welcome to a new session.
