My people my people, I welcome you once again to another project we have just started. We had been commissioned to build a security man dwelling place, a generator house till completion. Details of the project are:

Project: Construction of a security house and security house
Location: Anambra state, Nigeria
Client: A Nairalander
Contractors: Spyder880 builders
Project duration: 30 days.

This is the space we plan to build these new structures...........

First thing I did was to shop for building materials, blocks, cement and sand so we can move off smoothly..........

Then we started the foundation for the security house.........

We met obstacles in the ground, an old foundation, but we dug it out and moved with the pace we want...........

Still offloading more building materials for the foundation..........

Foundation base iron reinforcement works..........

Standing the columns, laying foundation blocks and cast of the concrete columns in the foundation........

We also filled the foundation of the security house.

Foundation completed, block setting, foundation columns and foundation beams done. We are now filling the foundation before we will cast the concrete floor..........

Foundation depth for generator house is 1 meter
Foundation depth for the security post is 800 mm

We have completed the lintels, even added blocks on the lintels. Our focus now is to complete the parapet for the security post.

If not what is the rationale behind the building the generator house?

In truth, we have not decided on any size or type of generator, we are just making provisions for a generator. The plan is the provide for a generator which will not exceed 6 feet in length and 4 feet in width. We built this base to have 10 feet in length and 7 feet in width.

The load will determine the size of generator which in turns determines the base of the generator. Since there is a preset condition in this case, it should help.
There will be need for exhaust modification in this arrangement at a cost.
If the hiab can drop it easily inside the generator house then there may not be need for positioning as there are instances where depending on gen house manual labour is used to get the generator to the house at a cost.
A soundproof beats some cost but in this dispensation of some soundproof as soundnoise. Any option goes.

Good morning Sir, the house is about 18 feet x 13 feet. It has a kitchen, a toilet/bathroom and one bedroom.
