League Management NG @LMCNPFL

After reviewing the Matchday 31 game, 3SC v Remo Stars, 3SC have breached the NPFL rules & framework, failing to provide effective security leading to breakdown of order after their match.

3SC also failed to provide adequate security for match officials before, during & after the match resulting in the harassment & intimidation of the referee.

3SC is also charged for failure to contain & control their fans after the match resulting in disturbances including the attacking of a media personnel, Adepoju Tobi, an act capable of bringing the game to disrepute.

3SC is also charged for breach of the peace agreement brokered by the LMC between the two clubs (3SC & Remo Stars) with regards to guaranteeing peace, order & fair play during matches between the two.

3SC is fined a total of ₦3m plus a ₦500,000 compensation to Adepoju for lost valuables & medical bills. Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan is closed to fans for the remaining fixtures of the season while a further breach will lead to the club being banished to a neutral ground

3SC also stands the risk of 2 points deduction to last for a probational period ending with the season.

3SC's media officer, Tosin Omojola & kit manager, Majolagbe Kolawale have been expelled from all NPFL related activities for a minimum period of 12 months in the first instance.

Here's a summary.

1) The journalist, Adepoju Tobi Samuel (OgaNlaMedia), is a fan of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), but he believes that the management and coaching crew have not been performing, so he has often criticised them.

2) The management of 3SC do not like the criticism from OgaNlaMedia.

3) The management of 3SC accuse OgaNlaMedia of confronting them during their away game against Remo Stars in Ikenne. Some of them claim that OgaNlaMedia is working for Remo Stars.

4) Some 3SC officials vented their anger at OgaNlaMedia after the game against Remo Stars in Ibadan.

5) Some fans of 3SC saw what happened between OgaNlaMedia and 3SC officials inside the stadium and they began attacking him and chased him out of the stadium.

6) 3SC fans outside the stadium saw OgaNlaMedia being chased and they also attacked him. The police had to intervene to stop the attack.

7) OgaNlaMedia accused 3SC officials of being behind the attack.

8 ) 3SC's media officer said (on radio) that the attack wasn't the club's fault and that the league management should stop provoking fans through their match officials. He also accused OgaNlaMedia of provoking the fans and said that OgaNlaMedia should have taken cover because "He could have been killed and nothing would happen".

The club released a statement in which they disowned the comments that were made by their spokesman.

You can see a video of the spokesman's radio interview in which he said, "He could have been killed and nothing would happen" here https://twitter.com/Mike_ThePundit/status/1532334989601390592. That statement was condemned by many journalists.

relegation should be the best for any team that their fans or/and officials involve in any form of violence against match officials or visiting teams....NPFL has too many troubles ranging from poor travel logistics to none payment of salaries to lack of proper contract for players... adding fans violence to it, is way too much....if we can't have a 20team league...we can have 10 teams....like some European leagues... provided it's quality and stress-free

This is okay but stiffer punishment needs to be put in place, that man could easily have lost his life in the melee.

Increase the fines and add point deductions, that way, fans would think twice before activating their anger mode on what was suppose to be a unifying factor.

This is not the brand of league we want to tell the world. How do we build foreigners/investors confidence when we can not guarantee the safety of our local spectators.
