[b]NITDA - An acronym for National Information Technological Developmemt Agency, should actually wake up to the rising state of fake news been peddles accross the Nigerian cyber space.

Science and Technology has played its role in making life easier and convenient via improving the I.C.T standard of the world through globalisation.

With an increase to the various social media apps and creative content space, the internet in Nigeria is awash with hundreds of platforms presenting itself as a source of information for public consumption which many a times are unreal, imaginative, vinditive, and mostly for the monetary largesse attached to the occupation.

This story was reported as real

And it was found false here

So is the case of many more stories out there, especially on platforms like twitter, instagram and co's.

NITDA should do well to wade into this menance now that the root of the tree isnt fully decay and also find a way in using this, as an avenue to employ more hands who will be willing to track and investigate all and every news pushed out for proof of authenticity, for which failure to should attract a reasonable fine. Thus, creating monetary gain and revenue to the government.
