in India men don't pay bride price or dowry, their women or the family of the woman does.

aside this is a common scenario in India always having a dramatic twist to their wedding ceremony.

even it is allowed for a woman to marry more than one man or wed more than a suitor during a single wedding ceremony (India and polyandry).

In india its the bride that pays the dowry, so its understandable why she can pick another guy after the money no go loss.

In a culture where arranged marriage is still rife and many brides do not even know who the groom is until the wedding day, the bride marrying a guest wouldn't be considered a big deal

A family friend the lady he went marry, his parents aju si mba, he went ahead, I makwa na udu mmanya ya gbawara n'uzo..He still went ahead..

It took him some years to have his first child..Now the wife died recently while giving birth to the second.. sad
