STRENGTH FROM MY YESTERDAY
Some days I walk into the library of my mind,
To the shelves that house memories of my pains and sorrows,
where each book was written with ink flowing from my broken heart,
All telling stories of the tragic moments of my life.

In many ways, I draw strength from these books
For they sing the ode of my greatness;
Of how I won the many battles life threw at me
And stayed strong in the darkest nights of my young life

I laugh reading the memories that once made me cry-
Memories of days where death tasted better than life.
