The Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) said recurring terror attacks may cause another war in Nigeria.

The organization gave the warning following the plot by terrorists to attack some states in the country.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) revealed that Boko Haram, ISWAP, and bandit groups were planning to strike.

They are targeting Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kogi, Lagos states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The OPC said the terrorists would be met with stiff resistance if they attempted to attack the Southwest.

In a statement on Thursday, Publicity Secretary Yinka Oguntimehin condemned the fresh invasion of Owo in Ondo State.

He warned that attacks are pointers to “imminent war capable of pushing Nigeria to its precipice”.

The spokesman blamed the federal government “for failing to act” and giving the impression that it has been overwhelmed by the security challenges.

“President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to match his words with actions.

“Public schools in Abuja, Nasarawa State and some other parts are shutting down as a result of the rising insecurity.

“The situation is getting worse with killings increasing. There is an urgent need for the Southwest governors to rise before it is too late.

“We should not take the terrorists’ threats with levity, we must act now”, the statement added.

The Hausafalulani are playing with fire.
The south is more United than ever now, when we cut the port and the oil revenue and see let us what will be fate of hausafalulanis.

they should reread the last nigerian civil war theatrics very well, they no reach, their fore fathers were wasted then despite the sw ans ss on the federal sides.
The war would have being different had there hadnt been a disunity in the south but despite that the gumption to wage the war was mostly done by YORUBAS,their papa couldnt get the the mind to fight it until the yorubas stepped in.
now imagine a united ss,sw ,se and even middle belt.
can they really fight it?,no electricity,no communication network,no access to sea or even river niger,no gas to run anything,no oil cash,no food,no radio or televion signal and no international support(who was to support a leech nation with no intellectual or natural or mineral resources?)
Vultures will RAVAGE their skies ,hyenas and pigs eat their corpes

Agree or not, the perpetrators of terrorism are Muslims and the South West has a good percentage of indigenous people who're Muslims, thereby making it easy for Hausa/Fulani Muslims to infiltrate and reck havoc like they did in Owo. It's only a matter of time and the South West will be Islamized. What is happening in Abuja will definitely happen in the SW, yet Yorubas think that the Igbos are their enemy when their own son, Tinubu took a known terrorist sympathizer in the person of Shettima as VP simply because he wants to win at any cost. Do you, supporters of Tinubu think that the killings of Christians in the SW will stop if Tinubu is elected? Stop the bullsh.it talk of his wife is a pastor. Tinubu is a Muslim and will naturally defend Muslim interests first, even if it's means the death of all christians. If the OPC doesn't defend the SW and yoruba christains in the SW, there's nothing that will prevent the radical Islamization of the South West.

With the current events here in Abuja, I'm beginning to see that Nnamdi Kanu was right from the start. At least, one thing is certain, the South East and South South can never fear or worry about Islamization nor will christians worry about their safety.

cool

In a sane society, APC will not even campaign as a party because they failed woefully.

As if Buhari's failure isnt enough, they are coming with an 86 year old vegetable as replacement.

Mamaafrik1:
The Hausafalulani are playing with fire.

Big lie.
If we are united why is Thiefnuibu the APC flagbearer?
And why did Igbo delegates to PDP primaries not vote for their own candidate, given that most reasonable Yorubas, led by the Afenifere were rooting for Igbo president

SATANICALLY666:
Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Middle Belt Forum, Pan Niger Delta Forum and the Tiv Nation have endorsed the quest by the South-East to produce the next president of Nigeria in 2023.

The groups demanded restructuring before the 2023 general election in order to guarantee its continued co-existence as one country.

Their position was made known during the launch of Power Shift Movement and Forty Million Ballots Movement in Awka, Anambra State, which was hosted by the President of Youths Off the Street Initiative, Kennedy Iyere.

Secretary-General of Afenifere, Chief Sola Ebiseni, who was represented by leader of Yoruba nation self-determination group, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, said the group was in support of the South-East producing the next president.

He said, “Southern presidency is a means to an end. It is not something to celebrate because even if we have a Southern president, you cannot have one more powerful than Obasanjo and nothing is being done. The fundamental thing is restructuring. But in the meantime, let those who have not tasted it, let them have it.”

He maintained that the Yoruba nation was not happy that Igbo people were not coming out to declare their interest for the position even when people of Southern Nigeria have declared support for them.

“We hear people from the South-West want to be president, and even in the North which we have said has had enough for now; they want to be president. I have not seen men from the South-East come out and say that they want to be president. It is not a matter of newspapers or reeling out statistics. It is a question of let us see these men. If you don’t take your destiny in your hand politically, it will continue to be statistics on the pages of the newspaper."

When Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu were talking about this imminent danger, many criticized them.
Their houses were invaded and innocent people were killed and many were jubilating.
Isn't the agenda playing out now?
Abuja - the seat of power isn't safe anymore, soldiers are getting killed like rabbits by these same people.
No one is safe, the rich and the poor aren't safe. When it hits the south, what's everyone going to fight with? Stones and knives against bandits armed with AKs and ARs?
Let's hope this is not going to end up the Afghanistan way.

The only thing that will lead to war is if those northern attackers go beyond attacking their region. Boko Haram and ISWAP should not take their madness beyond the north.

Terrorist are just like bed bugs in Southern Nigeria they can't survive in a clean environment because the south west are not religion extremist and they're minority in south east and south south.

We're already at war when it has gotten so worsen that our President has been told that they would kidnap him, many of our schools are already closed down as precautionary measures in our state capital.

War is here, not just fully fledged yet.

OPC should stand up and defend the yoruba land. Tinubu has unleashed war on yoruba Christians.
He first tested the depths by Owo massacre to fulfil his Jihad's right. Mind you there are over 50 rights/tasks of Jihad that Tinubu must fulfil.

I weep for Yoruba land, the next terrorist attack is targeted in Ogun state, a well dominated Christian area.

Tinubu must be stopped from this Jihad of his.
